Totally worth wrapping up for 🌊 #Albecq
Is there any feeling better than feeling better? 🙆🏼♀️ Been run-down with a cold this week post-India but so many lovely things happened today. A great work meeting, bumping into Mumma in town and having a spontaneous lunch date, a cuddle with Sara at her work and then having a super creative logo making afternoon where ideas just came together 💫 But my absolute highlight was my fellow saxes saying in unison the peanuts didn't get you!! when I walked into windband rehearsal tonight and they saw I survived Goa 😄 #thursyay
Our retreat to Goa feels super dream-like. Did it really happen?! 🇮🇳 I feel like it was a different me that was there and I miss it so much, giant cockroaches and all. Mostly being cooked delicious food for by those amazing Indian ladies. And obviously the weather (come ON Britain, I know it's autumn but do you have to be so miserable?!) 😟 Life is so simple there. Walking barefoot everywhere, exchanging smiles with everyone, showering outdoors with butterflies flying around our heads 🦋 Just the best. P.S. I told myself I'd keep up the daily yoga practise - hasn't happened 🤦🏼♀️ I blame Shiva the Destroyer (pictured) for destroying my motivation...
Hoped to bring back some Goan sun for us all but sadly it has not worked, sorry pals ☔️ When I was there I was dreaming of sitting in a fridge to cool down, and now all I want is to *not* feel like I'm sitting in a fridge... eating ice cream... covered in snow 🥶 The grass is always greener hey?
Just your standard cow on a beach situation 🐮 @katie_bisson @chloerwoods
Missing this lovely bunch and the beautiful Goan sun 👭🌅 (Although it was another level of JOY walking through the cold rain into Sainsburys earlier - the stuff our daydreams were made of this week when it was too hot to sleep)
Travel bud 💚 All week we've had that sun-tired, yoga-tired, no make-up, humid-monica-geller-hair thing going on. Do we *have* to go back to being presentable humans? It just seems like a lot of effort now 🤷🏼♀️
Our home this week: Satsanga Retreat Centre. A little haven in the chaos of Goa, decorated with trees and flowers and butterflies and buddhas. Could not be more grateful for this place and the amazing staff who work tirelessly, and always with a smile, to go above and beyond for their guests 🌼
Just a few more hours left in India! 🇮🇳 What an amazing week, so incredibly eye-opening and humbling. Goa is so vibrant and colourful - a weird juxtaposition to how dirty and poverty-stricken it is too 🌈 The people are so warm and lovely. The vegetarian food has been my idea of absolute h-e-a-v-e-n. Can I please take those lovely Indian cooks home with me? 👩🏾🍳 The heat has been intense!! The 4 hours of yoga each day have been mentally challenging and physically transformative (I can now bend in ways I could never bend before!) 🧘🏼♀️ The lack of WiFi has genuinely been detoxifying! The ladies we've retreated with are now dear friends. I'm SO ready to go back to sleeping in a bedroom without centipedes, mosquitos, furry caterpillars (one of which embedded itself in my skin - how kind!) 🐛 and giant cockroaches hanging out on our beds, but maybe not so ready to go back to the rain in Guerns!! (P.S. More photos coming soon of course - you know me 📸)
