Impatience is running high these days as we count down until we’re finally settled in the new house!! The last six weeks have taught me one very important thing: working on the go and working at home are two VERY different scenarios. 🙈 ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've been working on the go for over a month now, as we transition between cities and prep for our official move back to our home state of Indiana; three cities, to be exact. (Does that qualify me for nomad status these days?) ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And ultimately, working while constantly on the move forces you to minimize your work necessities and maximize your work flexibility. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Stowing everything I need in this handy backpack has been immensely helpful with keeping my workstation packed up and portable. And maximizing my hours by working in efficient blocks of time throughout the day and between travel time has been a life saver. 🙏🏻 ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although I love the portability of city hopping, I cannot wait for the first day I can settle in the new office and sit down with a hot cup of coffee and the day ahead of me. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Anyone else just LOVE the feeling of a clean, organized space first thing in the morning? 😍

Trying to change a bad habit, create a new one, or create better results at work? Turn to your environment first. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Simply trying to STOP doing something or even START working something new into your day is easier said than done when attempted alone. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instead of focusing on the behavior, pour your energy into changing your environment in a way that supports the new action or removal of action instead. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For instance, if snoozing is a BAD habit of yours, invest in a snooze-less alarm clock, or move your phone to another room so it forces you to get up and get going in the morning. Or, simply set your alarm for a time that doesn't allow you to snooze — because you have to be somewhere in the morning. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want to feel more focused while working?
