Pop the bubbly🍾! It’s FRIDAY! I love free weekends with my boys with nothing on the agenda! You know what else I love? Mentoring other photographers! I’ve had the honor of mentoring about 5 photographers in the last 6 and I love watching each of them take on new goals and make them happen!! @elizabethalicephotography is currently on her way from Raleigh and I can’t wait to spend a couple of hours with her working on her photography business! I honestly never imagined I’d be teaching other photographers but I’m so thankful for the opportunity and have loved getting to know so many amazing ladies in the process!
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all of your sweet words and congratulations!! I'm blown away by how much love you have all given us and I love that you are sharing in our joy! We are incredibly grateful for the gift of another sweet baby and the grace that has been given to us. I also know that there are so many of you dreaming to be a Mama one day. So many of you waiting. I know what it's like to see all of your friends getting pregnant and some even being an oopsie and you are left wondering why it's so easy for some and so hard for you. Or when you constantly hear Isn't it about time you two started having kids? - that might be the worst! I know these things because I have felt them all. I have lived them all. I thought it would be so easy for us to conceive. But it wasn't. It took us two years to have our sweet Haddon and I know that's STILL not that long compared to others. Those two years were hard and they tested us. I want to share a quick version or story to give you HOPE. After two years of trying different methods, we finally made an appointment to visit Duke Fertility. That appointment was made for March 16, 2016. We booked our 3-year anniversary trip and ONE WEEK before we left I had a positive pregnancy test! I took 3 to be sure. This couldn't be! Even the doctors said we would need extra help. This happened completely unexpected and completely natural! When I called to make the first appointment the nurse responds with, We can see you on March 16! - The SAME day we were supposed to start our journey at Duke! This was completely God. Only HE can create life and create it in HIS perfect timing! When we went to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time the doctor even said sometimes you just get lucky -- but I knew it wasn't luck, it was the sovereignty of God. I hope you know that I am praying for you in this journey and that I understand how painful it can be. I hope you know there IS purpose in your season of waiting and that God really does have a perfect plan for you. Our life is SO far from perfect and everything we have is from HIM and not of our own doing! If you made it this far, whew, ... happy Valentine’s Day too💕
Life is about to get a lot sweeter!! We’re so excited to welcome a sweet baby GIRL this August! Praising Jesus for this incredible gift💕🎀!! Haddon isn’t sure what’s coming but he did enjoy the pink ice cream🍦. #thehatleylife
You were created to live for God, not for yourself. You weren’t created to live as though everything is about you. You weren’t created to be at the centered. You were created for God to be at the center. You were made by Him and for Him! Letting this truth settle in for me today. It’s so easy to get caught up in ourselves - especially in the world we live in today - but we can find freedom and happiness when we grab ahold of this truth!
After about 36 hours away in Chapel Hill for a fabulous wedding I came home to a precious boy running to my arms 😭. Enjoying this raining Sunday snuggling him and having no plans - sounds perfect to me!
Because when it’s this beautiful you can’t help but share another 😉 #firsttimeonarooftop #becomingbobeck
