Favorite age so far. Laughs at everything. Loves to crawl around the house growling at his sisters. Says dada, bye and hi! regularly now. Says mama when he's really pissed. 😉
Blueberry picking girls. ❤️
Nolan's favorite outing so far. 😄
It just seems right for our girls to be friends. ❤️
Sibling things. 💚
There are flowers on my lunch.👌
Nolan Baggins got his first haircut today. (I followed him around the house with a pair of scissors for most of the afternoon and still need to fix it up during his next nap) He's looking a little less hobbit-like but not any less cute. 😘
Happy Father's Day to the two dads who love my kids so well. Thanks for being fun, loving and dependable guys. ❤️
That splash park life. 🐳
Hey! I just scheduled my first newsletter to go out tomorrow morning. If you want to learn more about my writing, freelancing and how I became a full-time, work-from-home mom, this newsletter is for you. Sign up using the link in my profile! 👆
A much needed night out with my love. ❤️
This is 28. 🎂
Monday: Solange in my ears, summer cut, favorite shirt.
From pool to picnic thanks to Chef Daddy.
Caught a few grins between the grouchiness of a sick mom and the cries of one kid who is cutting four teeth, one kid who face-planted in grass and one who scraped her leg from ankle to knee. Our days aren't easy, but these are the sweet moments I'll remember.
Girls' Night Out! 🐠🐡🐟
Well visits + shots are the worst, but silly faces and tweety bird bandaids help.
9 months and basically a big boy.
Teaching the girls a little independence the last few weeks has been entertaining. Clementine hides in her bedroom and gets frustrated if I see her before she is totally dressed for the day because she likes to do a big reveal. Hazel, well, I'm just glad she has pants on. We'll work on pockets in the back later on.
Checked one off our summer bucket list. ⛳️
Sundays are the only day slow enough for me to nap with Nolan. I look forward to it all week long. ❤️
Hazel Jane knows how to party, especially when there are sprinkles involved.
Pancakes for a very big girl. 👑
Hazel Jane, today is your last day as a 2 year old. Early on, it was easy to guess what kind of girl you would be, the way you furiously kicked your feet and happy-screamed to the Alabama Shakes before you could even roll over. The way your eyes always have a sparkle of mischief in them. The way you would do anything for a laugh, like finding the most creative way to swap out song lyrics for the word poop or introducing yourself to strangers as Zoof-Cakes. The way you take my cheeks in your hands before planting a kiss on my lips. You are a wild one, but you are seriously sweet. You are quick to forgive and forget. You are imaginative. You are a dreamer, your head in the clouds. May you always cause a little bit of trouble. May you always delight in the laughter of others. May you never become so grounded you stop dreaming of the impossible. And may you please, please make it to your 4th birthday with all of your bones intact.
Living that work-at-home life. 😴
Writing and dreaming and making plans for the future. And eating a really big croissant.
Enjoying the fruits of our labor. 😄
Pretty Pretty Princess 💍
You make Mother's Day so sweet. 💕
It's freckles and sprinkler season. ☀️🌈
Because I know you're wondering: Yes, this is Nolan's facial expression 99% of his waking hours.
I don't always know how much I should share about what life has been like lately but tomorrow morning my big brother Mike will have surgery to remove another tumor from his right frontal lobe. If you think of it, send thoughts and prayers his way.
