Many years ago one of our committee members bought a small plant on one of their first KHS summer coach trips to Cornwall in 2013. The small plant has now turned into this small tree! It was in full flower towards the end of April. Having lost the label she spent some time this spring trying to discover the name of it, having a suspicion it was an Australian plant as they often have strong small oval leaves. It turned out to be Prosanthera rotundifolia - the Ozzie mint bush found in the SE of the country. When crushed the leaves are fragrant, a little like eucalyptus #prosantherarotundifolia #prosanthera
We didn’t have to wait long for the peony to open. It’s delightful 🌞
