Planning for a camping trip next weekend has me looking forward to relaxing and soaking up some good ole Lake Michigan + bonfires with friends. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As much as I love what I do, I’ve found that being intentional about taking time off to recharge helps me come back and tackle my next project with more creativity. September has been our craziest month yet, and while I’m simultaneous exhausted and overjoyed for all our couples, I’m looking forward to hitting pause for a weekend, and coming back for our October brides with all renewed focus + energy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photo because Michigan has the most gorgeous sand dunes and @selyciayangphotography killed this shoot. 💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photo: @selyciayangphotography Florals: @lbfloristry Model: @breighannamarie Veil: @kathrynannbridal Gown: @desiree_spice
Feelin’ so #hashtagblessed with the brides I get the opportunity to work with. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not only are they so, so trusting of me, they also choose the best photographers. 🙌🏻 I’ve had 5 galleries delivered to me in the past week and I’m just dying to share with you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 😘😘😘 to you @emilyharyphotography for this capture!
One of my major projects for this year included setting up a substantial cutting garden to supplement my designs with.⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Nine months into 2018, I can successfully report that I know wayyyy more about drip irrigation systems and burning 1000xs of holes into landscaping fabric than I ever imagined was possible. (Srsly, what am I even talking about?)⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then shoots like this one happen, and it blows my mind to think that I was able to put together this bouquet using all ingredients grown by me, with the exception of those beautiful Caramel Antique garden roses.⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just a reminder to find ways to work with your hands, either as a job or hobby. It’s highly rewarding and keeps us growing as individuals.⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PC: @selyciayangphotography Veil: @kathrynannbridal Gown: @desiree_spice Model: @breighannamarie
