Last year I experienced Ramadan in Kuwait. It was very sunny, blazing hot as it feels like it – ranging from 40 to 45 degrees celsius. During lunch time, the streets are deserted. No music could be heard even from the lobby of our hotel. And not even one restaurant was open for dining. We are advised not to wear shorts, nor tank tops despite the heat. And it’s a big no no to drink water nor eat even just a piece of candy in public or else we would be fined. The idea of Ramadan could be foreign to me, but experiencing it first hand is life changing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Happy Eid al-Fitr to all my muslim friends ❤️

We met a family of locals on our way trekking to this unspoiled hidden beauty. It made me appreciate Indonesian culture even more, and was able to realize that they are much more comparable to us Filipinos. Their resiliency, more than the colour of their skin, definitely is similar to us. And I think that’s beautiful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Can anyone name this place? I honestly don’t know 😂
