  • My friend told me that her granny would say I was being fast with these red nails 😂😂😂 My granny, on the other hand, would've picked the color out for me and given me a matching tube of lipstick to complete the look! 🤣 She was my favorite kinda lady...one that never gave a shit about what anyone else thought. I realized today that I need to call upon her spirit more often! 😏 - Did you grow up with any of these #taboo teaching moments? My mom used to have a saying about girls and women that didn't wear slips under their dresses and skirts, but I can't remember it.   • You finally make it home after a long day of work, errands, to-do's, etc. You walk in the door... do you breathe a sigh of relief or do you cringe at the site of the inside? If it's the later, here's a tip. Pick a spot in your home that you have to see everyday. You may not use it everyday, but you see it. Your entry way, the end of your hallway, a little corner of your bedroom, your kitchen counters, whatever. It can be big or small. But pick the spot and make that spot special. Give it purpose. Hang your favorite piece of art or photo. Place and light your favorite candle. Give it a plant (or 2). And throw in something just for 5he hell of it. Just because you like it. A necklace. A healing crystal. A button pin with a smart ass comment. A handwritten note from your best friend from 10 years ago. Whatever. Now, this little spot is your happy spot. The place that no matter what time of day you pass it by, it gives you good vibes. Keep this one spot clean and dust free, even if the rest of your house has gone to shit. Keep this one spot sacred; so when you get home at the end of the day or wake up to get ready in the morning, there's a place in you're home that sends you out or welcomes you with positive energy. - This is my spot. I change it up often but it always includes a plant (real or faux) and something special (the juju hat was a gift from my best friend @sgardnerstyle).
