Time to throw the confetti, y'all -- it's launch day for @hannahsmithphotography! 🎉 Hannah reached out to me a few months ago seeking a designer to help her update her beautiful @tonicsiteshop @showit.co template. What started as a conversation about website updates quickly turned into a series of heartfelt emails about creating a brand that reflected her growth as a photographer over the past few years, while still speaking to her style, her personality, and the value she holds for both her senior portrait clients and couples! I absolutely loved working with Hannah to create a joyful new logo for the HSP brand as we dug deep into the core behind her work and honed her ideal client, and I am so excited for y'all to help us celebrate today! Be sure to go to @hannahsmithphotography for all the launch day fun and head to my blog for the full brand reveal! Link in bio. #bisforbonniebrands
But is it really work when you get to play with visuals like this?! 😍 Today, I'm working on a few website updates for one sweet branding client as we translate her visual presence throughout her new custom site! Plus, there's a lot going on behind-the-scenes as we prep for an exciting brand launch for another amazing branding client! All sorts of branding magic is happening over here, y'all. ✨ What are you up to this week, friend? Let me know what projects and to-dos you're crossing off your list below! #bisforbonniebrands
I think it's easy for us to look at these pretty little squares we see on @instagram and assume that life must be that picture-perfect for others. But that is so not true, friend! This photo may look like I'm livin' the dream, sipping on coffee while I wear cute yoga pants and work from home, but there's a lot you don't see that's just outside of the frame. I'm fighting some monster cold, sipping all the coffee I can get my hands on to help me keep my little eyelids open so I can prep for my workday. 😂 There are dishes upon dishes in the sink that need to be washed, I've got piles of laundry in our laundry room that need to be folded, and my studio is a total disaster! But instead of letting that get me down or make my feel like I'm a hot mess, I choose to embrace the truth that I am just one woman doing the best that I can, chasing wholeheartedly after a dream and a legacy of empowering others to own their stories. And some days that means only tackling half of my to-do list because of sickness, or some days that looks like letting the dishes pile up in the sink and not shaming myself over it. Because aren't we all just doing the best that we can?
Friday has me all like 🙌🏻🎉💃🏻🍕! And since it's Friday, I'd say that calls for a little #fridayintroductions. There are so many new faces around here so let's get acquainted, shall we? I'm Bonnie, the founder and creative director behind #bisforbonnie. I'm a brand designer and strategist who partners with women entrepreneurs to empower them to own their stories through the brands they build. With my amazing clients, I create visual brands that enable them to experience more passion, purpose, and profit as they connect with their ideal clients authentically! I'm also a speaker, small business mentor, and the founder of the @illumeretreat. Most days you can find me with a cup of coffee in hand, a computer next to me, hanging out next to whatever new plant I've added to my collection! Last year, I went from having a black thumb to becoming a crazy plant lady, and I'm loving every minute of it! I currently have 24 houseplants and a slew of outdoor ones as I landscape out flower beds for spring. 🌿 But that's enough about me. Tell me all the things about you, sweet friend! Comment below and don't be shy. 💕
I couldn't let #nationalpuppyday go by without sneaking in a shoutout to #boonebakhtiari! This sweet little monster has more energy, more excitement, and more love to give than any animal I've ever encountered. And I'm so grateful he's around to keep us on our toes! Although he may not be this little anymore, he's just as playful now as he was as a puppy. And he's most definitely just as curious. 😂
Here's a little pro tip for all you boss ladies out there! Give yourself enough grace to take little breaks for what brings you joy during your workday. Every day, I try to carve out 20 minutes in the thick of my workday for something that purely brings me joy. Today, that was planting flowers in our window box (sneak peek in my Insta Story!). Some days it looks like reading a fun blog post or a chapter in whatever book I'm currently reading. Other days, it looks like a coffee break. Regardless of what form it takes, the outcome remains the same -- I get 20 minutes of extra joy in my day! And as a result, I'm always able to dive back into my workload with renewed energy and creativity. What simple things bring you joy, friend? And how can you carve out more time for them in your day-to-day? Tell me all about it in the comments below! 👇🏻
I'm diving into my workday with a cup of coffee in hand as I work on website revisions for a sweet client, add a few finishing touches to a logo mockup for another client, and as I attempt to tackle my inbox. 😉 As a brand designer and strategist for creatives, I'm fiercely dedicated to only incorporating visual details that tell my clients' story well and that represents the heart of their work authentically. Every brand I design is a labor of love, but it is so worth it, friends! Because when we can design visuals that represent the heart of your brand, then we can create longevity throughout your visual presence. And, if you ask me, that's better than anything you'll find on the popular page on Pinterest. What's on your agenda for this workday, friend? I'd love to hear in the comments below! P.S. Don't forget about yesterday's $100 Sseko gift card giveaway! See my last post to enter. 💕
