Happy Friday, friends! I'm popping in for a #fridayintroductions because I am so excited you're joining me on this creative journey of mine and because I want to get to know you, too! Three fun facts about me are: 1️⃣I could live in sweaters and cozy cardigans the rest of my days and be the happiest girl in the world! It's kind of ironic that I live in a state with such hot summers since layers are basically one of my love languages. 😂 2️⃣I'm steadily turning what once was quite the black thumb into a green one, and this summer I am loving being able to tend to my patio garden. My tomatoes are currently taller than I am and I have basil coming out the wazoo! 3️⃣I absolutely love to travel and I've been to every state except Alaska. I hope to visit one day soon to soak in all the beauty of that gorgeous state! Plus, I just had to share this snap from my trip to San Francisco this January for #nationalpinkday! But tell me all about you, friend! Are you a #plantlady or do you manage to kill the most resilient of succulents? I actually identified as the latter for years so there's no shame in either game! This may not be my view anymore but I'm feeling so grateful for the past few days in New York with A! We ate all the things, soaked up all the art, and explored until we couldn't explore anymore. But now I'm entering into the weekend with a full heart as we settle back in at home! And for as much as I love traveling, there's always something so special about coming back home. Happy Friday, friends! I hope yours is filled with joy. 💕 #bisforbonnietravels
Today, I had breakfast in a church-turned-coffee-shop, soaked up the sunshine in a Central Park, spent the second day in a row inside the most magical museum, and thought how grateful I am to celebrate a new year of life in such an incredible city. When we visited the Irving Penn exhibit at the MET, A and I both stood in wonder at a man who dedicated his life to creating art that deviated from the norm. He had the courage to create something different and stay true to the heart of his craft and, because of that, he changed the way we view photography. I can only hope that I can pursue the courage to create from such a place of authenticity and creativity in the years ahead. Twenty-seven, I think you're going to be a-okay. #bisforbonnietravels
About last night... But seriously, can we take a minute to talk about this light? 😍 We checked into our @airbnb right as the rain let up and the most magical light broke through the clouds. Everything was bathed in pink and we saw the most beautiful rainbow from the rooftop of our apartment! It felt like such a magical way to say goodbye to this past year of life. Tomorrow marks the start of a new year for me and I can already tell it's going to be a good one. 💕 #bisforbonnietravels
Whenever we visit the MET, the rooftop exhibit is a must. This view is one of my favorites in the entire city, and today we played a game of If you could live in any building in this skyline, which would you choose? I'm quite partial to the building on the far left with the rooftop garden! If you look closely, you'll see what I mean. 😍 Which building would you choose, friend? #bisforbonnietravels
Our bags are packed, coffee mugs are filled to the brim, and we're headed to New York for my birthday! A surprised me with this trip and I couldn't be more grateful to share life with such a thoughtful partner. Plus, I can't wait to be back in one of my favorite cities ringing in another year of life! Any recommendations on where we should go or what we should eat? This isn't our first time in NYC but we always love playing tourists. 👫 Share your ideas below! #bisforbonnietravels
You know it's going to be a good day when you squeeze in an early morning workout, a trip to the park with pup and husband in tow, tend to the patio garden, and enjoy a hearty brunch all before noon! I never thought I'd be the kind of person who voluntarily got up early on a Saturday for a workout class, but the feeling of accomplishment is so worth the earlier wake up call. Now, I'm spending the rest of the day prepping for our trip to New York next week! We'll be spending a few days there to celebrate my birthday, and I can't wait to ring in another year in one of my favorite cities with my favorite guy. What are you up to this weekend, friend? Tell me all about it in the comments below!
Happy Friday, lovely! It's been a minute since we did a #fridayintroductions around here, so let's become better acquainted, shall we? If you're new around here, my name is Bonnie! I started #bisforbonnie right out of college with nothing more than a laptop and a whole lot of gumption. And since then, I've felt so fortunate to build a business around empowering others to own their stories through brand design and strategy! I live in beautiful Waco with my sweet husband and our adorable golden pup (see my last post for said adorable-ness!). Three things you might not know about me are: 1️⃣ I love cooking and trying new recipes but I hate doing the dishes. My husband, A, and I have a system where I cook and he does the dishes. Bless him! 2️⃣ I think makeup is fun but I don't wear it often. I'm also fairly limited in my ability to apply it no matter how many YouTube videos I watch 😂. If you know how to contour, that's basically the equivalent of wizardry in my book. 3️⃣ I have tattoos and, in college, I had a nose piercing and small gauges in my ears. And some days I even think about bringing the nose piercing back! Now it's your turn! Tell me all about yourself in the comments below. 👇🏻
