Just a little appreciation post for my girl, Katie. We have grown up together because our mother’s are best friends, but who woulda thunk, even though we are 5 years apart, we live together in Almaty, Kazakhstan and work/ room together in Florida. Your heart is of gold, your smile reveals your love of Jesus, and your sass is quite something else. It’s been a crazy six months together, but I’m glad I’m living in this craziness with you! Love you, girl. 😘
“Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!” Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided- “Great is Thy faithfulness!” Lord unto me.
Life in the city of Almaty.
Six months ago I came to Almaty, Kazakhstan with one intention- to meet the girls I was going to be working with this Summer in the Greatest Exchange. What I was definitely NOT expecting was this trip of one week would lead to me moving to Kazakhstan! The Summer working with my girls solidified my decision, and now being here for ONE full month, it’s been a huge blessing and it has been a month full of trust, frustration, fears, and yet so much joy!
These are my people, these are my friends... I’m so blessed by this community.
Still re-cooping after this hike up the mountain. 😅 But still so thankful for this time with my girl and basking in the glory of God’s creation.
“Oh dear Lord, bless that cheap and not really mocha cookie crumble Starbucks, in Jesus name, amen.” -Dasha Never a dull moment with this one. I’m so thankful I can still spend moments with you in deep conversation, encouraging one another over Starbucks just like we did in America. ❤️
Missing my girls something great, but I’ll see y’all on the other side soon. 😘
