it’s hilarious how im gonna dedicate this post to the old man and even though he doesn’t have IG, he uses my mom’s account to creep 😂 that gets me every time. like watching a caveman play with fire. anyways, proud to be your daughter pa👨👧you gave me amazing eyebrows, glowy skin, and some height lol but aside from that, you show me what unconditional love looks like, teach me patience even if it’s you who pokes every nerve in my body, and taught me how to be ✨fearless✨ believe it or not. it started when i was little and we’d be at the beach. he’d grab my hand to go in the water, even if the waves were super huge, and we’d take them on. thank you for doing that cause in/by the water is the greatest place to be. indirectly, that’s kinda how i go about life and my passions - diving in 🌊 but yeah, have a stellar day viejo 👴🏽 you’re the coolest loser i know 🤙🏽 and lemme just say, my pops swagginnnn in the tb pic - sideburns and all dat 😎
it’s ironic how those who live the simplest life, like the Berbers here, live in some of the most majestic places. this is a daily view - D A I L Y.
a photo of a regular schmegular café in Tangier but this café was one of the main reasons i wanted to visit the city, aside from me having to take the ferry. my idol, Anthony Bourdain, sat right in there when he visited Tangier so when i planned my unplanned trip to Maroc, i knew i had to enjoy some café noir there as well. there was a part of the episode (swipe) that related to me on every level possible so it made it a bit more important in a sense. it’s strange, Anthony Bourdain didn’t even know i existed but he had/has a huge impact on how i experience places and what i want to do with this life. since i was 13~, he was showing me the world through ‘No Reservations’ but the real stuff. Travel Channel was just showing the luxurious side but not him. he ate locally, went to not-so-typical destinations, and he didn’t give a fuck. a pure legend. then as i started uni, it was nice how he took a journalistic approach with ‘Parts Unknown’ esp since that was my major. it’s like we were both doing the same thing. i never thought i would cry over the death of a celebrity but i still remember that morning like it was yesterday - my heart dropped to my stomach. it was the first thing i read since a close friend texted me the news. but yeah, he will always inspire me to look deeper when visiting countries and to connect with people everywhere i go. it’s always the people that make the places, and the food.
The Mummy, Game of Thrones Season 3, Gladiator, and other movies my guide told me ~but i forgot~ were filmed here. #themoreyouknow
