Currently sitting in the hospital, waiting to get an MRI on my hip. Almost two years ago, Noah taught me how to do that silly “flossing” dance and I threw my hip out. I wish I was kidding, but it’s totally true. I’ve done physical therapy, I’ve done massages, I’ve done yoga, I’ve rested, I’ve iced, I’ve used heat ... for almost TWO YEARS. It feels like my hip is on fire most of the time, it radiates pain down my leg and across my back. On bad days, it makes me limp and cry. I’m such a loser because I literally hurt myself floss dancing. 😂 But finally - FINALLY - I’m getting an MRI. Which, obviously, has nothing to do with Tiffany’s gorgeous Christmasy wedding bouquet, but, here we are. 😂 Wish me luck! 🤞 #christmaswedding #decemberwedding #bridalbouquet #jacksonvilleweddingphotographer
Fair to say that Texas light is some of the best light. 🔥🥰 Peek from today’s PERFECT celebration of love! #rockinbranch #texaswedding #lgbtwedding
Boots are packed and I’m headed to Texas for the weekend! 🤠 This my last solo trip for a wedding and I’m so glad - traveling alone is not as fun for me as it is traveling with Randy and the kids. Do you like traveling alone?! 🤷♀️ If you do, tell me why! 😂
“Our wedding day date was extra special because 09/21 would have been my father's birthday, 09/21/2019, would have been his 76th birthday. Our wedding date was our way of including him in our special day as he passed away last year, shortly before we got engaged. In honor of his birthday, we served birthday cupcakes (his favorite, red velvet) in addition to our wedding cake.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Jason & Ashley’s wedding is coming to the blog this morning, and I love how personalized it was. Wait like until you see the other ways they tied in Ashley’s late father and brother into their celebration. 🥰 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #jenkinsapplefarm #fallwedding #appleorchardwedding #theknot #weddingwire

✨There's a BIG announcement coming on this beautiful Monday morning. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've learned a few things over the last year: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1.) I love weddings, and I love the process. I miss it. 2.) I love my couples. I miss them. 3.) I love working with Randy. I miss him. 4.) I don’t like traveling by myself. It’s not as much fun for me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And I’ve been feeling a bit lost this year – everything going on with Ricky, our big move from Colorado to Georgia, all of it … I’ve felt positively lost. My mental compass was spinning in every direction more like a gyroscope, and the only thing keeping me grounded on the worst days was the consistency of the sun rising and setting. It’s just been an awful year, and now that we’re at the tail end of it – Randy and I have been talking a lot about what we want out of life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The truth is – he misses photography and working with me as much as I miss working with him and having him there with me on wedding days. We did a lot of praying and discussing, and in 2020 we are coming back to the wedding photography industry. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Read more on the blog - the link is in my profile. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photo by my dear friend @katiemcgihon 🥰
My mom must have said this to me no less than 30,000 times when I was a kid. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My mom was always the one who did what she had to do because that's what she HAD to do. She raised me in a time when there weren't a lot of options, especially when she was a single mom starting all the way over. She used to tell me that I need to make a career out of something I absolutely LOVE and by doing so, I'd never really 'work' a day in my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Of course, she didn't mean I wouldn't work hard ... but more that I wouldn't regret every day on the job. That I'd find joy in my career, rather than doing a job because I needed it to pay the bills. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ She's so right, you guys. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For the last few months, I've worked at our local vet's office and I honestly just never felt right. I found the most joy doing the marketing stuff and the photography stuff for the website and social media, and not so much with the receptionist stuff. I loved working with my coworkers and being with all the puppies and kitties, but my best days at work were the ones where I was writing and creating and having the opportunity to help Dr. B build her business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So last week, right before Thanksgiving, I put my two weeks notice in so that I can focus more on what truly brings me joy: photography, mentoring, marketing and helping others build their businesses. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Life is too short, friends. FIND YOUR JOY.
This weekend is all about FAMILY. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Family love. Family time. Families together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm so blessed to have hung out with this incredible family tonight, I loved every minute of it! And we didn't even see any alligators! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PS - Family sessions are on sale for Black Weekend ... DM me to find out how you can save $425 on your family session!!!
Today I'm in jammies, I'm drinking coffee on the couch, I'm watching cheesy Christmas movies and definitely NOT out in the craziness of Black Friday shopping. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now, if the stores had a 50% on groceries or things we actually NEED sale ... I'd be in there elbowing with the best of 'em. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What about you - hanging out at home or braving the crowds for Black Friday?
