Our upcoming #WildBeeBuzzTalk (part of our #SpeakerSeries) is coming up this Wednesday August 15th at 7 p.m. . This week's talk title is A bee's life in the urban mosaic. Join us to hear Charlotte de Keyzer take you on a journey exploring the life of bees in the city. . Charlotte is a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto. Her PhD research has taken her from the rugged slopes of the Colorado Rocky Mountains to the parks and pavement of Canada's largest city. Her research focuses on the impacts of climate change and urbanization on plants and their pollinators. Launching her own citizen science project, Urban Redbud, in 2017, Charlotte has a passion for engaging the public in the scientific method and sharing her knowledge about bees and trees with everyone she meets. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Global Change Biology and featured in the popular press by CBC and TVO. .
