i completely SHOCKED myself today. literally had no idea my body was capable of this🤭 had no idea i could do a wide grip pull up never mind a kipping(the beginning swinging motions) pull up! seriously, i feel like this came out of NO where! i did it a few times just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke😂 it’s no where near perfect( so all you cross fitters be nice 🙈), but when we were doing it at first i literally was too scared to even attempt the pull up part because in my head “i knew i couldn’t do it.”( swipe right for a reflective video of what i looked like 😂) it was total fear of failure, fear of looking stupid, and just taking the easy route. i’m so glad the people around me pushed me to try it. Sometimes all it takes is one other person believing in you so you can let go of that script in your head and start believing in yourself.
today’s morning ‘work-in’ question: what would today look like if i was living as my highest self? ✨💫 asking this question can bring up what your conversations with your friends/ family/co-workers might look like, your food choices, how you’ll respond if something doesn’t go as planned, how much social media you’ll consume, what your mindset will be, what type of relaxation you’ll make time for... ALL of this is health + wellness. it’s not just about how many calories you burn in your workout but how much your life is being elevated in all different areas. our highest self is an empowered self. an authentic self. a proud self. a reflective self. an expressive self. a radiating self. TAP INTO THAT SELF.
FRIDGE CLEAN OUT DAY!🌱call me crazy, but next to actually walking the wonderful aisles of @wholefoods , fridge clean out/ pantry organization is actually the most therapeutic thing ever. i’ve actually went over friend’s houses before and volunteered to clean + organize their kitchen😅 it’s a totally relaxing process and helps make meal prep/ food decisions so much easier throughout the week. i love taking my fruit + veggies out of the plastic so i’m more likely to eat them before i lean on pantry items + then they go bad.(out of sight= out of mind). * make sure to wipe down the glass with a warm towel or organic multiface cleaner. you don’t want to be spraying unsafe chemicals, especially in a closed area where your food is going☝🏻my favorites are Honest company or Meyer’s! * all brands are tagged in the photo. this week i’m loving coconut cream for chia pudding, vegan @kitehillfoods cream cheese on @sietefoods wraps + of course my never ending love for @gtskombucha kombucha🙌🏻 *if you want to see the very unaesthetically pleasing before photo, i just posted it on my IG stories so head their for the dramatic difference🙃💛 #mindfulfridgeing
fresh juice= natural skin care treatment of choice 🌱😁🌸 ! i’m definitely always experimenting with new natural skin products + am currently on the hunt for some new face moisturizers + oils, but by far the number 1 factor that keeps my skin clear is what i put in my body! 4oz of water with #spirulina or #greenjuice in the a.m is key for me along with eating less sugar in packaged foods. I’ve had a few people say that they stay away from juice because it spikes blood sugar faster. This is true because there is no fiber! but the key is to have the majority of the ingredients be low glycemic(cucumber, celery, spinach, ginger, lemon)+ adding a little beet or apple to sweeten it up. you don’t need to drink a whole 16oz glass either. a little goes a long way 💫 p.s for all my #t1d friends who always ask how i treat my lows, either with fresh pressed juice or coconut water🤙🏻 #skincare #insideout #wellness
🌅🌊😭 sunsets, baths, massages, yoga, cuddles, live music, essential oils... they just have a way of completely transforming my mood + energy no matter what🙏🏻! what is your favorite form of self care? what could you use some more of this week? #thelittlethings #selfcare
