On the positive side, all this time at home is helping me to get lots of work done!! Almost finished with this couples' beautiful wedding gallery!
What I did yesterday to pass the time... I got up at a decent time, did devotions, showered, got dressed, did my makeup - this may not sound like a big deal but honestly I am finding it is so hard when you know you’re just gonna be stuck at home to bother even getting out of my pajamas! I will definitely admit that today I am having the kind of day where I am still in my pajamas as I write this - but I think it’s totally okay to have days like that right now too! I still got things done! 🙋🏼♀️ I am a photographer which allows me to do some work from home, but this work is slowly diminishing as we see weddings being postponed 😫 so it makes things difficult financially right now and to keep business going! I also work at the vet college in Guelph which has been deemed an essential service - this makes sense, and I am glad it is and happy to do my part as our animals are important to many of us, they need to stay healthy too. Since I am still at work, my partner, Jordan has gone to isolate at his parents place who live in North Bay, due to him being at high risk if he were to get the covid virus. This is definitely a difficult and can be a lonely time! What makes it even harder for me right now is that I recently rehomed my dog Oakley, to a better fitting home for him - and so with Jordan away, it makes my dog’s absence more noticeable too. 😥 I think this affects everyone in a different way and some more then others - we just need to be kind and considerate and check in on each other - we’re all in this together and everyone’s lives definitely look different right now then they did before. My goal is to stay positive with my thinking, be grateful for good health, and just try to make the most of this time! So yesterday, I decided to brighten my day by take some self portraits with the hopes of using these photos and this “free” time to start a new website! 😆 I challenge any of you to do the same and see who you can get involved! .. of course, I got the cat in some photos! Let’s see your self isolation self portraits! 🥰👏🏻#selfisolationselfportraits
Asking Jordan random questions today over text to create conversation while we are apart and I thoroughly enjoyed his responses. 😂 I love how we make the most of every moment and he can make me smile even when we’re not able to be together due to isolation for COVID-19. Here’s an example ... Me: Hey babe, how tall am I? Him: “Tall.” Me: That’s not very specific. LoL Him: “I am not as tall. “ LoL 🤦🏼♀️👏🏻💕 #myboyfriendisthebest
Hey guys! This is definitely a scary, weird, new, and uncertain time that we’re in where anxiety and stress can seem to creep in and become more prominent in our lives ... but remember who is ultimately in control and watching over us - and always remember to keep smiling and having fun with your loved ones that your currently cooped up with! 😋🥰
Woohoo! Donna and Iain's wedding photos have been sent and my favourites just got posted on the blog!
