Stay positive. Work hard. Make it happen. #motivationmonday 🍂
Mansfield senior nursing students Josh Ashmar and Brandyn Gill participated in a volunteer presentation on Monday, November 5 for the Waverly Cub Scout Pack 12. The presentation focused on Helping Heros. Josh is an EMT and firefighter with Upper Macungie Township Station 56 and Sayre Fire Department. Brandyn is an EMT and firefighter with Danville ambulance and Washington Fire and Hose Company. The students discussed these roles as well as teaching basic first aid skills such as how to clean and bandage a cut or clean a wound. They educated the Cub Scouts on how to respond to help someone who is choking, has a nosebleed, falls, or is bitten by an animal. The students also assisted them in making a simple first aid kit for their homes.
MU Health Science scholarship recipients were honored at the MU/Robert Packer Hospital Scholarship Dinner last evening in Sayre. Over $100,000 was awarded to our students from RPH endowed scholarships. Congratulations! #LoveMU
Today’s #featuredfriday is from @mansfieldcomm and highlights a volunteer opportunity provided by the department, at the #chcfeast that raises money for The Center For Hearing and Communication.
The Self-Love Photo Booth sponsored by the MU Presidential Commission on the Status of Women, will be present at the Health Fair today until 2 PM. Our goal is to create an atmosphere promoting self-love and empowerment on campus. Stop by and get your picture taken and tell MU what you love about yourself!
