We are often asked by concerned parents, How long until they are swimming?. This really depends on what YOUR definition of Swimming is and what your swimming goals are. Let's check back in with Gentry. The first video is late January 2018. Gentry had recently started private lessons and was attending lessons twice a week. He took to the water like a fish and was such a hard worker! The second video is Gentry at the end of October 2018. After building up his upper body strength and learning to take consistent breaths, he graduated to GUPPY where we focus on buoyancy/body position control. This aspect of aquatic education is essential for safer, more confident swimming, but also establishes a strong foundations for the competitive strokes. Fast Forward to Oct 2019 and Gentry is CRUSHING IT. He is what we would call a DOLPHIN in our progression which means he is working: Quicker breathing, incorporating the use of arms and legs in #Freestyle, #Backstroke and #Butterfly and also being introduced to the fundamentals of competitive starts! Regardless of what your swimming goals are, we can help you and your family achieve them. With consistency, motivation and well focused aquatic education, we build strong swimmers who respect the water. Next stop Tokyo 2020!!!
