How often do you take time off from your business, and how long does it take you to stop thinking about work and actually take the break? I want to jump into my work and all the ideas ... and ... I also want to savor the slower pace and bring it into my everyday life. I want more silent moments to read, to savor my coffee and thoughts, more un-rushed meals and conversations, spontaneous afternoon movie dates with my love. More of life without my mind racing to the next thing. It's so much easier to say, you can have it and actually making a conscious effort to make it happen. So I'll strive for moments of it. And build from there. Like this book moment. (It's so good btw.)The afternoon movie date moment. A board game and giggle moment with my little guy. The bubble bath moment. Putting together a slow meal for my fam, with Michael Bubble playing in the back ground. And the moments will add up and remind me, that I'm making time for what matters. How are you incorporating more moments to savor more moments that matter into your life friend?
I got this question in my Canva Community and thought I'd show show you how to easily create your own lined paper in @Canva. Still winging your graphics love? Save that for you eyeliner. Join the community at CleverwithCanva.com
Send all the sticky baby vibes friends. The last few days hubby and I have been going through our 4th round of IVF. And tomorrow is transfer day. We're nervous and excited. Nervous because it's been a long, stressful, expensive process. Excited because it may just be the one. And a few months from now we might finally be able to snuggle our baby. Nervous because we've tried it all for almost 5 years. As moms / women in biz, we're hesitant to share our stories. Especially the non shiny parts. What do you say, how much do you share and what is too much? What if you can't take it back. But, we're all in this thing called life together, and in reality no one's life is sunshine and perfectly curated images. So share what feels right friend. Check with your intuition. But don't feel like we'll only be interested to hear about the good parts. We want to know you. As for knowing more about me, I'll be here snuggling on the sofa this weekend, touching my belly, sending all the vibes to the 'baby', playing board games with my son, loving on my fam, netflixing and getting some reading done.
Are you feeling frustrated with your visual style babe? I want to put you at ease. Finding your authentic style is meant to be challenging. Think about it this way. You are literally creating a new personality. And you are combining your own style with the emotions and style of your dreamies. You are creating a new voice. Something that didn't exist, until it became a thought in your mind and heart. It's like birthing a dream that you have so much hope for. A dream you know has potential. A dream, that now needs it's own vibe, personality, feel and voice. And ... that is what makes it so very special, and fun and worth the time to invest to get it just right. It's also hard because so many people are trying to do the same thing to express their vision, their dream and their business baby visually. Taking your time to create your own authentic style is so worth it. Please don't create it around what you see someone else doing. Find your own style and know that it doesn't happen over night. Take inspiration from the things that you feel drawn to and what your dreamies are emotionally connected to. And shake any feelings of comparison or inadequacy or even of wasting your time. Your dream, your vision and your dreamies are worth it! If you would like more support, I host a wonderful free Facebook Group for Biz Babes who are doing this very thing and using Canva to create and refine their visuals style. Don't think it's possible with Canva? I'll show you. 💙 The link is in my profile to connect with us in the Canva Community. We can't wait to meet you.
