When was the last time you hugged someone, I mean like intentionally hugged them for no reason at all other than just because? I hug everyone I meet, I hug to say good-bye but today I'm going to hug Nick just because I can. Anyone else think they know someone who deserves a just because hug🙋🏻♀️
Nick and I decided to write our own wedding vows for our wedding when we got married. I was actually in London for a few weeks before our wedding and I remember feeling so overwhelmed coming up with the right words to adequately convey my promises to the man of my dreams. I tried to set up the perfect time to write my vows, I sat on the veranda under the morning sun with a cup of tea in my hand, quiet music playing in the background and warm socks snuggling my feet. I scrapped about 45 pieces of paper before I threw my journal off the balcony. In my fury I walked to a little cafe that was crowded with people reading the paper and picking at crumpets. I sat down at a shared table and asked a stranger to pass the jelly while a mother wiped her child's chocolate covered face. It was in that moment that the right words hit me, I scribbled them all down on a napkin and tucked it into a cookbook I had just purchased. When I took a minute to look around and soak in the beauty around me instead of trying to make a moment picturesque my heart was able to open up. It's interesting isn't it? I wonder how many times I squelch my creativity by trying to be creative instead of just soaking in the creative world around me. Did you write your wedding vows? Where were you, what inspired you?

When I walked into the reception area at @sacredmountainjulian and saw what the incredible @amorology had done with @hostesshaven and @bluebellflorals I was blown away! Also take note of these AMAZING tables by @farmtablesandmore
I was looking at my calendar this morning, filling in all off the appointments, meetings, trips, events, weddings, etc. on all of my calendar forms and I realized quite quickly that my days are packed and my weekends are full (in the best ways). So while Nick's getting certified to scuba today I'm going to sit here and enjoy the simple Sunday kind of feeling!!! What are you doing today?
I haven’t really had a “weekend” in 2 weeks now and boy are the days running together like a blur. Nick finishes his scuba certification tomorrow and I’m so ready to get back to normal life aka having another set of hands to entertain the little guy! What is on your agenda for today???
