Frater David Towne (Omega, Albion) is the Chapter Advisor of Omega Chapter and an attorney at law in the State of Michigan. Frater Towne has worked with the utmost dedication to ensure that the Omega chapter will always be the very best chapter it possibly can be—a great mentor to past, present and future leaders of the Chapter. He is one of the many alumni members dedicated to helping Omega collegiate members achieve the high standard of Tau Kappa Epsilon. Frater Towne is currently volunteering on the Social Engagement subcommittee of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee also served for seven years on the Grand Court—two of those years as Chief Grand Justice.

Frater Hughes has arrived in Lukla, Nepal and is all set to start his expedition. We are grateful to see that he has even spared a few ounces in his pack for a TKE flag! Was able to get a photo of the TKE flag flying in the wind on the ridgeline with Ama Dablam in the background (a future mountain I am longing to climb). In a few days time we will arrive at Everest Base Camp where we will shift from the trek into the summit preparation rotations that will acclimate us with every higher ascent until our push to the summit. Volunteers come in all shapes and sizes. They pick a cause and make a difference in someone’s life. To all of you out there in TKE Nation who have ever taken time out of your day, knowledge from your experience or funds from your pocket to provide a service to TKE Nation. Thank you. 🔻 We have thousands of Tekes volunteering in named roles, but we have thousands more who helped for a day when a friend asked, loaned a truck for the weekend, organizing a cookout or lent an ear and some advice to a Frater in need. Our final group of Volunteer of the Month Highlights features Frater Bill Rhodes (Beta-Rho, Akron) and Butch Fealy, the Faculty Advisor for Alpha-Delta Colony (Idaho). 🔻 Bill Rhodes (Beta-Rho, Akron) serves as the Chapter Advisor for Beta-Rho at Akron University. He excels in bringing the northern Ohio chapters together to embrace the TKE culture and community. Also serving as the Grand Province Advisor in Ohio, he encourages our educational values towards all groups within the Northern and Buckeye Provinces. He works diligently with the gentlemen of Beta-Rho to set goals for them and walks them through ways to accomplish those goals. He hosts the Ohio Province forum to allow all groups from the Ohio area to gather and discuss the province's hurdles. In addition to Province Forums, he hosts numerous chapter retreats utilizing the Offices of the Grand Chapter as a resource to make these retreats seem a bit more memorable. 🔻 Butch Fealy is newer to the TKE volunteering team and has contributed significantly of his time and efforts to the Alpha-Delta Chapter at the University of Idaho. He is always ready to offer advice, whether it be with the Fraternity, school or personal matters, and the men of Alpha-Delta are incredibly grateful for his guidance. Throughout the pandemic, Butch has provided events and activities that our Fraters can do to continue the Bond, while also safely serving the entire student population. Butch is currently serving as the Faculty Advisor for Alpha-Delta.
