Strawberry Milk 🍓 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Have you heard of strawberry milk? Some of your blood has been mixed with your breast milk. It should clear after a few days as more milk flows through your breasts.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It is 100% safe for your baby to consume. You can dilute it with your previous pumped breastmilk. Reasons for blood in breast milk could be rusty pipe syndrome, cracked bleeding nipples, broken capillaries in the breast or an intraductal papilloma. Sometimes a small rupture in a blood capillary in the nipple or the breast may turn milk pink. The second reason is a bacterium called Serratia marsescens. Have you had pink breast milk come out of your breasts? #NursElet #breastfeeding #pinkbreastmilk #strawberrybreastmilk #mom #baby

Did you know? If your little one is older and eating solid foods, your chances of ovulating and risk of pregnancy increases. Some moms will find it takes more than six months for their cycles and fertility to return, while other mothers find that their cycles and fertility return earlier than six months. It is also important to mention that after six months, there is a higher chance that you might ovulate and possibly become pregnant before your first postpartum period. If you suspect you are pregnant, you will want to check with your health care professional.
