During these times of difficulty and challenge, God speaks into our lives to encourage and strengthen us. These moments may be through the kindness of a friend or stranger, something from the natural world or a handwritten note from a grandchild far away! These moments bring us joy! Following on from David Snoswell’s devotional, I want to encourage us all to actively look for moments of joy. Whilst out on a run this morning, this swan swam right up to me to say hello! Please share the small moments that brighten your day with us all. #gratefulthankfulblessed #gratitude #thankfultojesus #beautyofcreation #thejoyofsmallthings

Our last Flourish breakfast of the year is coming up this Saturday 19th December at 10am. We will be having another Christmas cookery idea from Sally Douglas and a Christmas thought from Carole Rawley. Here is a little bit more about her: Throughout the 39 years of her pastoral and teaching ministry, Carole’s passion has been to inspire women to recognise and outwork their unique callings and giftings. She heads up the Flourish women’s ministry and leads fortnightly breakfasts online designed to enable women to deepen their relationship with God. She also oversees the church youth team, Tribe, and so spends much of her time among teenagers! She works as a Child and Adolescent therapist both in school and in private practice. In her spare time, she loves running, swimming, designing and making quilts and cooking meals for friends and family. Carole is married to Ian, and together they lead New Life Church, Cambridge, UK. They have four adult children and 6 grandchildren.

Flourish breakfast coming up this Saturday 5th December at 10am on Zoom. We are thrilled to be welcoming Fiona Saunderson who will be sharing with us. Here is a bit more about her: Fiona has the ministry of an evangelist, loves teaching from the Bible, and moves powerfully in her prophetic gift! She is very involved with Alpha and runs a regular Alpha Course and 2 Bible studies from her home in Cambridge. She is also a trustee of the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem. She juggles all this with raising her family of 4 children and part-time work in Financial Services. She is sensing more then ever, to encourage women around her to not live by “worry”. She says it is one of the most repeated commands in the bible - and so must be for a reason!! - we all do it! She and her husband David joined Holy Trinity Church in Cambridge in 2006 after moving from HTB in London. She grew up in Ireland where her wider family still live. #womensministry #jesus

It’s the first Sunday of Advent today where we begin to look towards Christmas and the celebration of Jesus coming to our earth. This image speaks to us of him setting aside his majesty and stepping into our human world in all its chaos. #advent #Jesus #hopeingod

What a privilege it was to hear from Irene Manley and Tseegii Davaa in Mongolia at our breakfast this morning! Thank you so much for being with us to share what is happening in your country. I love that we are family together even though we live all over the world. Please keep praying for ‘Mary and Martha’ fair trade crafts ministry and the Genesis team as they go into schools to teach and give winter kits. Barbara Brockbank and Lis Silver will be letting us know how we can buy the crafts in this country. Don’t worry if you missed it as Georgina will post it on our Flourish podcast soon. #churchfamily #fairtrade #fairtradeproducts #mongolia #gratefulthankfulblessed #friendsacrosstheworld
