Wedding day details are small, but important parts of your wedding day story. Sometimes I have brides tell me that the “getting ready” photos don’t matter and the details aren’t important.⠀ •⠀ That breaks my heart, and it can be difficult to explain the value of these moments to someone who doesn’t feel they matter.⠀ I know budgets can be a concern, but here’s my opinion on that matter.⠀ ☝🏻 ⠀ First, you can never get these moments back. Once they’ve gone, that’s it. We can’t go back and recapture a moment passed. So I always tell brides when we chat about the timeline to plan more time towards the beginning of the day. We can always add more time at the reception if we need it, but you’ll never get those pre-wedding moments back.⠀ ✌🏻⠀ Second, it’s such an important part of your wedding day story! Think in terms of a photo album, one of the most popular ways for my couples to preserve their wedding photos. How do you tell a story when you’re missing the beginning and all the fun details that made your story come to life?⠀ 🤟🏻⠀ And last (there’s no 3 finger emoji so rock on) I know that budgets can be a concern, but consider the simple idea that your wedding photographer is an INVESTMENT. You are making a decision that is going to affect the way you remember your wedding day for the rest of your life. Isn’t that worth a few extra bucks? Isn’t it worth choosing someone who values your moments?⠀ 🖤⠀ I think it is, but what do I know? Well, I’ve captured 42 love stories and counting! Trust me, you won’t regret documenting this day!

I know I’m usually all weddings and lovers around here but I’m gonna mix it up today because I can. I’m sharing a fav from a recent family session I did for my sweet cousins! Crazy that a year ago we were shooting Caleb’s newborn session and now he’s almost walking 🤦🏼♀️ where does the time go!⠀ •⠀ If you wanna see more goodness from this sesh + a link to their newborn session last year, hop on over to the blog because their photos are LIVE and trust me, you want to check these out 🙌🏻
I feel like all too often we get lost in a sea of editing, replying to DMs and emails and just all the other BS that we didn’t necessarily sign up for when we started our businesses. I’m here because I love taking pictures of beautiful couples. I thrive off your joy and radiant energy of the wedding. I live for those sweet moments between the bride and her girlfriends. So much so that I put up with the lame jokes from the groomsmen 😉⠀ But seriously guys, this job is literally the biggest blessing. It’s taught me to be strong. It’s taught me about love and how to cherish each moment.⠀ Thank you for being here friends 💕 • Venue: @lacuestaranch Photo + Video: @meganhelmphotography Dress: @whatsupeurope MUAH: @infinitebeautyla Grooms Attire: @indochino Groom Hair: @that1hairguy Coordination + Florals: Butter Events First Look: @thecliffshotelandspa DJ: @kramerevents Cake: @sweetcaroline1992 Wedding Band: @ashooriandco
