“I’d like to think I inspired them by some of the things I was doing, and kept them closely connected to what I was doing. I tried to be a good model for them, and so I’m really proud of them. They’re making a difference—and that’s what I wanted to do, and that’s what I’m seeing them do.” –Dennis Giden, Sr., BS’90, MS’94 We thank all our Titan dads, step dads, and soon-to-be dads, for being the inspiration to our students and future generations. Your work ethic, strength, and integrity shape all our Titans.
Beautiful day to welcome incoming Titans at new student orientation ☀️ #iusb #college #orientation #southbend #titans
It's #TitanTuesday! The first Tuesday of every month, we'll be highlighting IU South Bend Titans and telling their stories. Meet Salvador Perez Lopez, who graduated last month with a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet and has been accepted to the Master of Music program at the Jacobs School of Music at IU Bloomington. Salvador was featured in a New York Times article called “American Dreamers.” In the article he says, “I use my music to spread love and strive to add tranquility to the ugly world of politics.” #iusb #iusb2018 #college #alumni
#ThrowbackThursday - From 1912 until 1962, Playland Park (which included amusement rides, a racetrack, and baseball field) stood at the current site of our campus housing. Archaeology students are currently digging at the site and have found artifacts from that time! #tbt #iusb #southbend #history #IUSBarch #archaeology
The archaeology field school will be digging on campus behind Housing Monday through Thursday, from 9am-3pm for the next four weeks. Open to the public if you'd like to stop by and check it out or share your memories. #IUSBArch #archaeology #archaeologicaldig #artifacts #history
Repost from @crhciusb - The history of the @16thstreetbaptist Church goes beyond September 15, 1963, and the brutal bombing of four little girls by white terrorists. Their service and activism goes from the early 20th century through to today. #iusbfreedomsummer2018
