We are so incredibly proud of how well our grade 4-8 athletes did this past week at the Knights of Columbus Track and Field Meet. Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the St. Ignatius track and field meet and the K of C track meet. This was by far our best showing at a track and field meet! In addition to all these 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes we also had a number of other students get top 10 finishes in many of their events. Overall in the grade 7-8 track meet we had Evaan (grade 8) winning 3rd in the 300m, Amanda (grade 7) winning 2nd in the 200m, Margaret (grade 7) winning 1st in long jump, and Keaton (grade 7) winning 2nd in high jump. - In our grade 4/5/6 track meet our medalists were: Grade 6: Mariya who won 3rd in the 150m, 3rd in the 600m, and 2nd in long jump. Abby won 1st in shot put, Ellaine won 1st place in ball throw. Grade 5: Joachim won 2nd in long jump and Madisyn won 3rd in the 150m Grade 4: Isaiah won 3rd in the 600m and 2nd in long jump while Lizzie won 3rd in ball throw.
Another successful Camp Arnes trip in the books. Big thanks go out to all the staff at camp who lead us through zip lining, rock climbing, horseback riding, swimming, bannock making, archery, and the high ropes course. The grade 8 kids had a blast !
Join us at our Wild West Spring Concert next Wednesday, June 6th at 7pm in the parish hall! Our choirs have been practicing hard and are sure to put on an amazing concert!
Congratulations to our patrols who won first place in the patrol competition for private schools in Winnipeg, to Mrs. McKay for being recognized for 15 years of service to the patrol program and to Daria for singing O Canada so beautifully to open the awards ceremony!
Congratulations to our grade two class for receiving their Sacrament of First Communion, to our grade 3 class for receiving their Sacrament of Reconciliation and to our grade 8 class for receiving their Sacrament of Confirmation. We are truly blessed to be able to celebrate these sacraments with our students!
