We’re so honored to have our goods on display at the @uicagr shop! These throw pillows of ours are so beloved that they’re currently out of stock in our own online store! So, swing by the UICA to grab one while they last.
This is what connecting creative citizens looks like 🌿 We are so grateful for @knotsoflovestudios investing into our teen girls’ group and teaching the art of Macrame! It presented us with the classic lesson that things that are difficult and feel uncomfortable in the beginning, through practice, can become second nature and actually be fun! The evidence of that was clear last night as these three continued to create while chatting up a storm in Kinyarwanda! The fruit of their beautiful collaboration is now available in the shop! So come for a visit!
On this International Volunteer Day, we want to say THANK YOU to the generous individuals who give of their time, talent, and energy to make our work possible! Whether you volunteer by building relationships with New Americans, helping us with events, documenting our work through photography, or stamping bags for our social enterprise—thank you for playing a role in spreading welcome! #IVD2018 Pictured: A Sister Circles pair volunteering together at our Makerspace
