But it's hard, she said. She raised her hand and said that showing up on Instagram is hard and she feels like she's speaking to people who don't respond. 🤦♀️ You wanna know what else is hard, I asked her. Riding a bike. Learning how to speak. Reading. Memorizing your multiplication tables (I *still* don't know them, true story). 📚 Everything is hard until you make the decision to practice, to DO. 👊🏼 You made the decision to get on the bike, so now it's time to learn how to ride. The more times you try, the sooner you'll be pedaling into the sunset (let's pretend this is an ABC After School Special, m'kay?) 🌅 And the same goes for Instagram. You want to get more followers? Show up...everyday. 🚲 Respond to your comments. Respond to DMs. Send DMs. Leave thoughtful comments on other accounts. Like photos in hashtags. Create IG Stories that showcase your business in a personal way. 🌈 Oh, friend, it's only hard if you say it is. When you make the decision to grow, you must take the necessary actions to facilitate it. ✨ So now it's time for the important question: Are you and your Instagram account ready to ride off into the sunset?
You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice...never mind, we're screaming because we'd love more hours in the day. Or a third hand. 🍦 But we're also screaming because we love what we do. Take away our creative passions, our projects, our career, and a piece of a soul is gone. 💨 So today we scream. 😮 We scream for the freedom to hustle and dream out loud. We scream at the budgets we must keep. We scream when we hit our goals. 💯 Cheers to us, Screamers, us who shout at the top of our lungs for everything we want. And more. ☝🏼 Today I'm screaming for the chance to connect with entrepreneurs online and guide us closer to creating stronger businesses. 👩🏽💻 What (or who) are you screaming for today, friend?
Itching for inspiration...which Instagram accounts do you follow that light you up? 🔥
I snuck out of bed in the darkness to flip open my notebook. I heard drunks leaving the bar below at 3am while I scribbled notes in the hotel room. 📝 After attending @jameswedmore’s mastermind, I couldn’t stop my to-do list from piling up with ideas. 💡 When I felt the anxiety creeping up, I remembered a quote I heard at church: “Anxiety is the anticipation of disaster, but Hope is the anticipation of desire.” 🙌🏼 I shifted my thoughts and then created a gratitude list before getting back in bed. 🛏 Running a business can taste like a cocktail of excitement + hustle + doubt, with a splash of fear (shaken, not stirred), but finding a way to move from anxiety to hope has been the key to move from mere thoughts to taking ACTION. 👊🏼 Today I’m planning content for the week, creating a Monday to-do list, practicing yoga, and brunching (yes, it’s a verb). 🧘🏽♀️ However you’re feeling today, I hope it’s a conscious move from Anxiety to Hope...it’s in >>this
