Meet the youngest attendees at our Saving Nevada's Pets Conference! These little ones were obviously too young to be left at home, so their foster brought them along. We hope they learned something!
Lucy adopted a small dog from The Animal Foundation in 2014 and visited again during Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days, unsure if she wanted another dog or a cat. A little seven-week-old kitten “kissed me twice and that was it”. After adopting in the morning, Lucy and her family were saying goodbye and Patrick, a five-year-old cat, caught her eye. The energetic sweetheart won Lucy over and she decided to adopt a second cat! #ThanksToMaddie #Adopt
Dillon came to Z's Promise Animal Rescue (ZPAR) after getting transferred from a shelter in Vegas. He had a broken leg, but that didn’t stop him from always wearing a big grin and offering sloppy kisses. After a big orthopedic surgery and being in hospital for weeks, Dillon was ready for a home. His new family had their eye on him from day one, so they were ready when he was—and at Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days they were first in line to adopt as they believed in love at first sight. #ThanksToMaddie #Adopt
The Villwock family stopped by Nevada SPCA during Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days. They were thrilled to adopt senior chihuahua Dexter who completely came out of his shell with his new brother, Charlie the Sheltie. Dexter came to NSPCA extremely timid and scared, yet he became a completely different, happy dog around Charlie! But wait, it gets better! They did a double adoption, and also brought sweet kitten Guy into their home! #ThanksToMaddie #Adopt @nevada.spca
Kenneth is a veteran cancer survivor who lost his own dogs while he was in treatment. He saw a story about Maddie's Pet Adoption Days on TV a week ago and he patiently waited for the day to finally arrive to come to The Animal Foundation to look for a new dog. He saw Pete, a three-year-old Chihuahua, in the kennel, and immediately wanted to hold him. In no time, Kenneth knew he had found his best friend #ThanksToMaddie! #Adopt @theanimalfoundation
Tuxie a little kitten, was found after being dumped at a home in the country. He ended up at the Fallon Animal Shelter but as they don’t have space for cats, he was transferred to Fallon Animal Welfare Group (FAWG). Today, for Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days, he has found a wonderful, loving home with Savannah! #ThanksToMaddie #Adopt
