My first week on Weight Watchers was interesting. I gained weight this week, but I’m actually not upset about it or worried about it. . There were so many changes that happened this week that eating healthy just wasn’t going to happen. . My beautiful baby went to daycare this past week for the first time. I returned to work. Figuring out our new normal and our new routine has been my main focus. Life happens, and that is totally fine. . By the way...don’t eat 4 donuts from Sublime Donuts if coworkers by them for your return. Just try to say no (it’s nearly impossible. And yes, they were amazing). . Starting weight: 165.8lbs Current weight: 168.8lbs Goal weight: 155lbs . Weekly loss: +3.0lbs
Today was Day 1 of tracking points and my goodness. I had forgotten how challenging it can be if you aren’t prepared. But I made the most of my large point breakfast and made up points throughout the day (like making low point chicken tacos). And I’m finishing the evening with a glass of wine. I’m going to the grocery store tomorrow, so I’ll be having more snacks and healthier breakfasts. Overall, though, not too bad! Daily points: 23 Weekly points: 35 Weigh in day: Friday #weightwatchers #weightlossjourney #weightwatchersfreestyle
It has been 3 months since I gave birth to James. Where did the time go? I feel like I blinked and here we are. Knowing that I’ve gotten all this time with him to watch him develop and grow has been wonderful. But it’s time for me to head back to work next week and start a new routine. This new routine includes starting back on Weight Watchers, which I am really excited about. I was fortunate to lose most of the baby weight quickly and without really trying, but I still have a bit to go. Going back to work and stopping breastfeeding will obviously affect the routine, but both had to happen. Weight before pregnancy: 159 Weight before birth: 213 Total weight gain from pregnancy: 54lbs Current weight: 170 Goal weight: 155 (?) I have no timeline for this but I will be starting the new Weight Watchers program on Friday. I’m ready to start feeling good about my food choices. It won’t hurt to lose a little of the tummy either ☺️
This is one happy kiddo. Figuring out a routine and sleep training have been lifesavers for us. We put him to bed around 8pm and he sleeps until 6-ish with no need for late night feedings. It helps that he somehow got mommy’s love of sleeping. #momsoncall #babywise #sleeptraining #12weeksold
All the crying, all the dirty diapers, all the sleepless nights make these moments worth it. Pure joy and unconditional love!
He might have been asleep and dreaming, but I’ll take that smile any day. #milkdrunk #7weeksold

As Irma approaches, I'm going to dream about this place tonight. Austria was beautiful (as was almost everywhere we went). Happy to be home, but wishing we were back in Europe.
You guys! I have a new recipe coming your way on Monday and I can't wait to share it with you! It was delicious!!
Our trip is coming to an end and I don't want to leave. But I am ready to sleep in our own bed. But as we head home tomorrow, I look back at the pictures from our trip in awe. The beauty we saw while in Europe has been just beyond anything I have ever seen. It's just so beautiful here. #traveleurope #leichtenstein #balzers
Goodnight Prague and goodbye. We will miss you (although I won't miss the bee that stung me right below my eye at lunch today. Somehow I pulled it together to go to Prague Castle and up the vehicular for some great views of the city...this was taken after I got stung).
Okay Prague, we get it. You are beyond beautiful. In all seriousness though, this place is giving Switzerland and Liechtenstein a run for its money. The old world charm is just breathtaking. It's like it's been untouched for years...everywhere you look.
Berlin has been fun so far, and it's only our second day here. We still have tomorrow to walk around and sightsee. Any have suggestions of things to do? We hit most of the tourist things today.
Today was magical. It was oh so hot, but Lucerne brought on the charm. And the mountain views are quite lovely, if I do say so myself.
When you get married in the mountains, they hold a special place in your heart. Well by golly, Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 has won my heart and then some. Balzers was beyond beautiful and well worth the train and bus ride to get here. My crazy, goofy husband wanted to come here from the beginning of our trip planning and now I see why. It was stunning - a bunch of towns nestled in the middle of the Alps.
Even from the sky the Switzerland countryside is gorgeous. After a long flight, we are going to rest for a bit, then walk around Zurich. I'm so excited to be here (and so tired). And I couldn't do it without my amazing travel companion. He mastered the Zurich transit system, which is saying a lot. It's just so sophisticated compared to places in the US like Atlanta (which isn't saying much. Marta just doesn't cut it).
Hello friends! I wanted to share a quick life update with you. Jeremy and I will be heading out of town tomorrow, so I won't have any new blog posts going up for a few weeks. We aren't going there again, but I can't wait to share where we went when we get back.

Ok...I was going through my phone pictures and stumbled across the one on the left. Taken in 2015, so almost 2 years ago exactly. The picture on the right was taken in early May. While I didn't start my journey in 2015, it's so great to see the progress I've made and where I was before. It's not always about the number on the scale...the difference in confidence is enough for me. 40-50lb difference between these 2 pictures. Go to dashofherbs.com/getting-started to learn more.
And just like that 3 years have gone by. Happy Anniversary Jeremy...I can't wait for all our adventures to come (Europe first)! 📷: @hales_photo
