  • #TBT As many arts organizations are shifting to online broadcasts and live streams to cope with social distancing, Curtis is continuing a long tradition of embracing new technologies to help our performances reach the world. Today, we're thinking back to the 1930s and 40s, when Curtis was at the forefront of broadcasting classical music performances via radio. Students performed in weekly broadcasts on CBS, known as "The Curtis Institute Musicale," and there were even classes focusing on radio technology. Today, classes on video recording and weekly live streamed concerts carry on that tradition!
