Really excited to announce that I will be at @granaryestates Christmas market on Sunday 1st December, 10am - 4pm with a stall packed full of brownies and cake. It’s such a beautiful place to hold a Christmas market and I can’t wait to get in the Christmas spirit (ready for buying my tree the next day!). There’s a huge selection of independent local businesses so I highly recommend popping in, getting some Christmas shopping done and of course, stocking up on cake!
I’m back. Back in the U.K., back in the kitchen and back in the office. Ready to go after a very enjoyable trip to America. . James and I went to visit my brother who is currently living near Chicago and working at the University of Notre Dame. We hired a car and travelled around a couple of states. We handled the bizarre road signs, ‘right turn on red’, automatic car and left hand drive like an expert. . We stopped at every brewery, winery, American restaurant and bakery we could find. We walked a consistent 20,000 steps a day, went running in -11c, and definitely should have packed some warmer socks (see cold ankles in picture!). . We had our first taste of American sport, went axe throwing (incredible anger management) and consumed an extortionate amount of calories in every meal. . In true American style we went big and crammed everything into a very short space of time, finishing the trip off in New York where I hunted the city for a snow globe like the one in Elf but came home empty handed refusing to spend $55. . If you fancied seeing some photos because your as nosey as I am, I’ve saved a few to my USA stories on my personal page @jessbaines92. Feel free to give me a follow if you want to see what I get up to outside of One Part Love. (Disclaimer: it’s never this exciting and mostly my dog). . For those of you who are waiting for an email, quote or have sent in a new enquiry whilst I was away - I’m currently working my way through them. Please feel free to send a chaser email, with a little hello to bump your enquiry up my list.
Made some Pecan Pie Brownies this week! Pasty base, brownie middle and maple caramel & pecan top! An absolute nightmare to cut neatly but totally worth the stress.
