My favorite photos exude pure, unfiltered joy. I think we need a little more of that these days. So please enjoy one of my favorite giggly moments under storm clouds from last spring.
Finding it rather hard to believe we were on vacation in Hawaii just one month ago.
Hey, friend. How are you doing? I find myself at a loss for what to post lately with all that's been going on. Do I keep on like normal, when everything is far from normal? Or do I dwell on the topic we all can't stop thinking about? I'm overall pretty lucky. I've quarantined myself at home for the next few weeks. I work from home already, I didn't have much booked until May, and my calendar the rest of the year is flexible for anything that does need to be rescheduled. But COVID-19 affects all of us. Whether you're a couple who has spent several months planning a wedding that may need to be rescheduled, a small business worried you may not survive this economic shut down, a parent worried about making do while kids are out of school, a person with a compromised immune system worried about what would happen if you were to get sick, or just someone feeling isolated and overwhelmed right now, you are not alone. In this weird time where we have no idea what to expect next, let's check in with each other. We are in this together. So, how are you doing?
What a weird week. We arrived home after six days in Hawaii just before the country has basically shut down due to this virus. We're still behind on sleep from daylight savings and jet lag, I should probably do some shopping for groceries and essentials, and I've got taxes I need to do. You know that saying that you need a vacation after your vacation? Whew. Thinking back to this peaceful evening spent above the clouds, and hoping this weekend brings some rest to all of us.
Vacation mode starting in 3...2...1... ✈️ I'm getting ready to head to the airport for a full-on vacation with my husband. Like, no work, nobody to visit, no obligations, no real plans aside from just enjoying ourselves. I did the math, and we seriously haven't had one of those in over two years. For someone who travels in general pretty frequently, this blew my mind. It's been a weird couple of years of moving around and changing routines, and I'm so excited to finally be settling back into life where I can keep planning fun trips for us every year. ☀️ I love living in the southwest, but a tropical vacation is just what we need. 🌴🌺🍍 Hawaii, here we come!!!
