Apply at bit.ly/bmblapp. - The Black Muslims Black Lives (BMBL) Roundtable will pick up from the Black Muslim Rights at Risk convening last year in Detroit and bring together 20 Black leaders to develop strategies supporting justice work connecting beleaguered Black Muslim communities. - We are currently taking submissions to create a diverse cohort of Black leaders who bring important insight. Applicants will be selected with the following criteria in mind: - · Grassroots coalition work addressing criminal justice system, immigration system, and national security system · Preference for areas often overlooked in national discussions including Midwest, Southern, and Northern Pacific Coast. · Partner organizations who have been sustaining movement work · From directly impacted communities. - Scholarships are available for participants needing assistance for travel and overnight accommodations. - Applications are due July 15th at 11:59 pm.
