How’s your New Years Goals and New Year starting off so far?? If you’re saying I feel off track, I would challenge you to dig into why. What encouraged you to make those goals in the first place? Why are they important to you? If you feel you have paused or full on stopped, check into what’s hindering you. What is currently holding you back from reaching that goal? Make it your task to pinpoint what those obstacles are and how you are going to overcome them. If you want help with that conversation DM me, I’d love to help you with that!
Do you have a word of the year? It’s generally ends up being the theme for the year. This year I feel like I have 3: Rest, Clarity, and Renewal. With the newness there has been a message being pressed into my heart this past month and I wanted to share. Behold, I am making all things NEW. With a new year, a new decade there is so much it holds. That old mindset That old pattern EVEN that successful past season that you compare everything That way of living is not going to serve you anymore. It is not going to take where the Lord is taking you in this next season. You keep looking back, it’s time to look forward. And let me say it’s not disawknowledging your past, what you’ve been through, done, but it’s making a switch into how walk forward and how you respond. Its defining what the newness is and then walking into it. Walking in a new mindset, creating a new pattern, walking confidently into the unexpected, pressing into who the Lord is and who He has called you to be. I would love to hear your word of the year! Comment it below! Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Start small, start strong. It can be easy to get excited with all of the new goals, but I would encourage you to prioritize your goals, start with one develop it and nail it and then add the next. You’ll be much more likely to maintain them long term vs starting them all and then being able to keep them up long term or be able to do them well. #MotivationMonday
I plan on championing this next year and my hope is that for you too. I want you to champion your next year. I sat down yesterday morning and I wrote down my reflections of 2019 and then my goals for 2020. You want to start off well, start off reflecting. Here’s 5 things to reflect on before setting your goals: - What progress did you make? What were some of your wins? What are you proud of? Celebrate those! - What are some of your lessons you learned? What did you overcome? See failures as a good thing, they are lessons that will propel you forward if you let it. Learn and grow from them. - Did you hold yourself back at all? Why? - What things are grateful for from this past year? - Is there anything you are overcoming currently? Snag your journal, reflect on those things and celebrate those! Recognize the hardships it held and own it. And then I want to hear below, what is one thing you are proud of from 2019?
Where do you find joy? I feel like this past year I’ve been really digging into joy and finding it. And you want to know the secret? It’s finding joy in the little things, cultivating a heart of gratitude, in my community, big belly laughs, adventures, finding joy in the process, not comparing, that circumstances are a helpful part of the process, letting go, not in positions, status, or what I have. It goes so much deeper. Trusting the Lord, who He is, and His plan. As Christmas is just around the corner, what brings you joy and where are you finding it? #MotivationalMonday
