Do you Journal?  It’s one of our favorite things around here, especially on Sundays.  It’s a great time to reflect on the week we just had and look forward to the one before us. 

Here as some of our favorite JOURNAL PROMPTS:

💛 What am I grateful for?

💛 What has someone else done to touch my life?

💛 Write down a favorite quote. Why do you love it?  What does this quote mean to you? 

💛 Who can I reach out to and touch with my talents and gifts?  A letter, a text, a phone call. Who needs to be remembered? 

💛 What are my top three priorities for the month?

Journaling doesn’t need to be overwhelming. Grab your greens, a pencil, and start small. Write just a few words. You’ll be amazed at how this builds over time. Your words will become treasures ✨.

  • How are you celebrating National Hugging Day?  We hope with LOTS OF HUGS 🤗. 

Everyone loves a good hug, but did you know hugging actually has health benefits? 

Here are our favorites:

1. They Relieve Stress and Pain. This is because of oxytocin, which is released in the body when people or pets snuggle up or bond socially. 

2. They Strengthen Our Immune System. Research has found that the more often people hug, the less likely they get sick. 

3. They Make Us Happier. Hugging increases serotonin. Serotonin helps us feel happy, calm, and confident. When serotonin flows freely, we feel good about ourselves — and the opposite is true when this hormone is absent.

4. They Help Deepen Our Relationships. When you receive a hug from someone you care about, it can bring you comfort and make you feel safe. They allow us to be present in the moment, and to let go and flow with the energy of the embrace. It's easy to forget how meaningful a hug can be, but it can truly deepen your connection with another person.

How many hugs do we need per day?  According to the best science, we should have as many as possible if we want to reap the greatest positive health benefits. At a minimum experts agree we need 4 for survival, 8 for maintenance, and 12 for growth.
