If you don't currently have any stress-reducing strategies, these 5 simple ideas can help you to stay calm, grounded, and connected during times of stress and can be incredibly helpful for rising above the noise and creating positive feelings.

Perhaps you already know and practice these tactics, in that case, this will serve as a timely reminder of why they are still helpful.

1. Gratitude is one of the best ways to relax and increases your happiness quotient. Remind yourself that trials and tribulations contribute to your evolution, and gratitude is how we can lessen the struggle.

2. Simply being outside in a natural place away from your device and media/news, nature calms and provides you with the quiet and stillness essential to reconnect with yourself.

3. Taking extra time to groom, pet or play with your pet or if you don’t have a pet, you can observe animals in nature. It's a simple technique to cultivate calm and present moment awareness.

4. Journaling can still those frantic voices in your head and connect you to your inner self like no other practice.
The best time to journal is first thing in the morning, to set yourself up for the day ahead, and at the end of your day, the optimal time to reflect and unwind. Journalling is your time – when you can get all your thoughts and emotions out of your body and mind and onto paper.

5. Meditation is one of the absolute best practices you can do to nourish all parts of yourself—mind, body, and spirit — and elevate yourself above the noise. Its health benefits go way beyond just the physical, and even into the realms of mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

  • ★★★★★ Life Changing
I spent a couple of days searching for wellness/fitness planners and journals. When I stumbled upon Dailygreatness Wellness I knew this one was going to work for me. I at first was hesitant about the price and if it was worth it or not (spoiler alert, it was). Not only did I want a journal to start of the new year right, I wanted/needed a journal that helped me track, helped me stay organized, and helped to keep me motivated. For me, this planner/journal is more than a new years resolution, I needed it for food logging to help with my binge eating. I had tried logging on other platforms and nothing has worked like this has. It has room to plan and track breakfast, am snack, lunch, pm snack and dinner. Theres room for work out tracking, asks about movement and water intake and more. What I love most about it, it digs deeper than logging you went to the gym that day. It has step by step goal setting information and prompts to dig for your why. Why you want to change, why you're doing this etc. This was powerful for me and to keep me accountable and focused each day asks prompts about your daily why and your wellness mantra. It digs a lot deeper and promotes positive self-love asking daily prompts. Plus it looks great and is of great quality. Using this planner has not only impacted my physical health but is benefiting my mental health too. It truly has helped me to make good habits out of my health and because of this, my life is positively changing for the better. - Louise A. #dailygreatnessjournal #dailygreatness
