COVID-19 has turned our (along with millions of others’) world upside down. We have navigated through situations we’d never have imagined. There have been many sleepless nights. But one thing continues to give us hope and is a constant reminder of how truly amazing things can still be: the compassion and overwhelming support from the people around us. We know we say it all the time, but seriously, OUR COUPLES ARE THE FREAKIN’ BEST. . And one thing is for damn sure, nothing can stop our amazing couples from celebrating love, not even a global pandemic. . These two beautiful souls and their socially-distanced microwedding are on our blog today!! Be sure to check it out. #edandaileen
Happy Father’s Day! #edandaileen
Love is love. #edandaileen
“Tell the court I love my wife, and it is just unfair that I can’t live with her in Virginia.” On June 12, 1967, the Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virgina struck down laws banning interracial marriage in the United States. Only 53 years ago. . And in 2000, anti-miscegenation laws in Alabama were finally repealed due to a public referendum wherein a staggering 40% of the population still opposed interracial marriages. Only 20 years ago. . Today we celebrate #LovingDay. Richard and Mildred Loving's bravery and sacrifice paved the way for our marriage and millions of others. We will forever be grateful. Thank you, thank you. . And while the battle against systemic racism is far from over and every story is different, just know you are not alone in these racial injustices. It was only a few years ago where we experienced firsthand disgust and hatred for being an interracial couple - where Aileen was too scared to leave the car because of her race and where we felt threatened for the sole fact that people didn't think we belonged together. In 2007, Mildred Loving stated it perfectly, (A)ll Americans, no matter their race, no matter their sex, no matter their sexual orientation, should have that same freedom to marry... That's what Loving, and loving, are all about.” . We encourage everyone to continue to listen, (un)learn and act as we do the same. . First photo is of us taken by our dear friend @n.d.photo.
“The bottom line is this: if we want to bring about real change, then the choice isn't between protest and politics. We have to do both. We have to mobilize to raise awareness, and we have to organize and cast our ballots to make sure that we elect candidates who will act on reform. (@barackobama) Black Lives Matter.
We want to take a moment to thank you all for the unbelievable outpouring of support and love. Our couples are the absolute best. We are honestly humbled by your generosity and eagerness to help this small business of ours. From offering to come help and clean our basement late at night after the second flood on Sunday, purchasing future sessions or extra prints from your galleries to help us stay afloat, and sending messages periodically checking in on us (and Amber) even though you are planning your own weddings during this chaotic time, we can't express how lucky we are to have all of you in our lives. You make us realize that we're not alone in this. You make us realize that there's still hope. And in the end, the most important thing is that we have each other, and we have an incredible community who has our backs no matter what and lifts us up when we are in some pretty dark places. Thank you, thank you. XOXO, Ed & Aileen
In times like these, we have to remember that friends and family are never truly apart - maybe in distance but never in heart. . We can’t freakin’ wait to hug, cry, and laugh with all of you again. #edandaileen

Shelter-in-place won’t stop our kick ass EA couples!! FaceTime is not only making it easy to stay in touch with friends and family, but we’re also able to document this crazy chapter for our couple. It’s fun, a little weird, and most importantly, it’s safe! . If you’re interested in a FaceTime session, let’s chat!! It’ll just be us laughing the whole time, figuring out phone/laptop angles, and dodging spotty WiFi 🤣❤️ #edandaileen
