It’s Tuesday, June 23, 2020. In Atlanta it is a warm 85 degrees (so Apple weather says) with a chance of rain. Covid 19 is still live and roaming. People don’t want to social distance. People hate wearing mask. The cops who killed #BreonnaTaylor are still free. The unemployment rate is raising. Over 100 people, including some fatalities, were shot in Chicago over the weekend. In Kentucky they are bullsh*ting the voters. And speaking of Kentucky, KFC no longer has potato wedges. They still won’t cancel student loans. . Anybody else need a vacation from this “new” normal because honesty it’s too much! I just want to be carefree on a beach in a foreign country. I’ll even settle for a blue clear beach in America some where. #thecurvygirlchronicles . NEVER FORGET #BLACKLIVESSTILLMATTER
HAPPY JUNETEENTH MY PEOPLE!!! . I learned about #Juneteenth back in high school. Not from the history books of course but from a teacher that saw fit that we know our history. It wasn’t something that I heard talked about outside of that so I still never celebrated but today I made sure to spend my black dollar with my black people. . If you are in Atlanta check out Crumpy’s Atlanta in Decatur. You won’t regret it. Get the honey gold. #thecurvygirlchronicles

SAY HER NAME! . HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRE!!! . Breonna Taylor would have turned 27 today had her life not been taking away by police officers who “mistakenly” raided her home and a sent rounds of bullets into her home that hit her at least 8 times. . She was an essential worker, working through a pandemic that is also killing blacks people. . No arrest have been made, nobody fired, barely any news on it. No justice at all! . #BlackLivesMatter means #ALLBlackLives including women, children, and the LGBTQ+ community. Let’s fight for all our people! . Supporting black people has always been something that I pride myself in but I mean that’s because I’m black. Supporting my people means building my own community. . Now, more than ever I think it’s important that we all support more black owned businesses if you can. Share their work, like a post, leave a comment or buy their products or services. I know right now buying might be difficult for some just show them some love. . While I have you hear: #BlackLivesMatter . Some of my favorite black owned businesses below and pictures above: @pardonmyfro @bodybystripped_ @apybeautyllc @tallanddope @candles4theculture @pin_and_proper @theculturecarrier @sweetonyoubb @crafty_thangz . These are just a few. I be sharing more as I always do. The difference is now I’ll have a highlight right on my page of #blackowenedbusinesses to support. I know we are tired but we been fighting and we will keep fighting.
