BIRTHDAY SALE! 🎉 I thought I would have a little birthday party in my Worry Warrior shop for the rest of this week! You can take 24% off everything with the code BIRTHDAYPARTY 😄🎂 Link in bio! Popping some confetti (of course) and balloon animal stickers into each order, and some actual balloons too (of the regular, yet to be blown up variety), so that it really feels like a party to open 😄🎈 Tell me, if you could have any balloon animal made for you, what would you choose? I'd pick a red panda 😍
I turned 24 yesterday! 🎂 This has been a really bizarre few years for me. 21 and 22 were a painful blur, and there's a lot I don't remember. But 23 has been special ✨ I'd only just found out about my sensory processing disorder this time last year. Since then I've learned so much, healed so much, and experienced the absolute relief of finally, for the first time in my life, understanding myself. I've still got a way to go in my recovery, but I've come so far in this short time 😊 23 has truly been a gift. And I'm really looking forward to seeing what 24 brings. I didn't really feel like celebrating quite this much after this tragic weekend, but I've been feeling really grateful to have my loved ones around me, and thankful for my year that's been ♥️
I am heartbroken. Today I just want to share some ways that you can support Christchurch and our Muslim communities. Some things you can do: ♥️ Donate. There are several ways you can donate to support the victims and families. I've put a link in my bio to an article that links to these. ♥️ Attend a vigil. There are a variety of vigils happening around the country that you can attend if you are able - more info on these is in that article too. ♥️ Spread love and kindness. These words from @fatimahatas are everything. If you see a hijabi Muslim in New Zealand today, assure her outwardly that she is safe there and that you are there for her. Don’t just look at her. If you know Muslims offer this to them, offer to accompany them in public spaces. ♥️ Take care of eachother and yourself. From @mhfnz Today we all need to look after the people around us and take some time together to comfort eachother. Wherever you are, if you need to talk, you can free call or text 1737 to talk with a trained counsellor. It's normal and human to be affected by today's events, to grieve even if you don't know anyone affected. It is also okay to not watch the news if it's too much for you to cope with right now. Be gentle with yourself. ♥️ Shut down racism. Whenever you encounter it. We all need to work together to eliminate hate. Small comments, jokes and asides can carry more weight than they appear to. Call racism out whenever you hear or see it, and don't give it any laughs, likes or tolerance. I am sending so much love to our Muslim brothers and sisters, and to everyone affected by this attack. We are one, you are us. This is your home, and we stand together. The words in this image are from our PM, Jacinda Ardern. New Zealand is their home - they are us. ♥️ #theyareus #kiakahachristchurch
I love collecting enamel pins with encouraging messages, to pin on my clothes when I go out. Leaving the house is so hard for me at the moment with my sensory processing disorder, so I like the feeling of having a little piece of encouragement with me! 🌈 Some of these pins were also made by or given to me by friends and insta pals, and I feel like I'm carrying their support with me too when I wear them 😊💖 I'm just in early stages of designing, but I'm working on making some encouraging and empowering things of my own this year, that you can carry with you in this sort of way! I'd love to be able to make some pins eventually, but it's made a bit complicated by the shipping from here in New Zealand being very expensive... so I'm planning on starting with some flat and light things 😆 - like patches, stickers and temporary tattoos! So tell me - what are you into, and what would you like to see? 💖 Pins, patches, stickers? Any suggestions of other flat and light objects I could make for ya? 😉✨
I was talking to my best friend yesterday about how we both cried the first time we saw the Wonder Woman film, because we'd never seen anything like it before. She had superpowers. She was brave, strong, kind and powerful. She had magnificent action scenes. She KICKED BUTT. And she had a huge, big budget movie all of her own. It's beyond crazy that it took so long to get here! But now we have Captain Marvel too, and I'm so glad... bring on allll the superheroine films please!! 💪 Have you seen Captain Marvel? I haven't yet, because movie theatres are a bit intense for my sensory processing disorder at the moment - but I seriously can't wait 😆 If you've seen it, what did you think? ✨ And if you know a Wonder Woman that you'd like to give this card to, tap the link in my bio to shop 😉♥️
At the end of a particularly rough day last week, I put on some Ariana Grande, and drew this for myself. The next day was indeed much better! I thought I would share it with you too, in case you also need a little reminder of the infinite possibilities of tomorrow 💛 Has something good (big or small) happened over your past 24 hours that you couldn't have anticipated the day before? I received a lovely postcard from a friend 😊 It's a kind of magic isn't it, the surprise of everyday. If today is a hard one, I'm sending you love. And I hope that your tomorrow is a wonderful mystery, full of possibility, just waiting to be discovered ✨ Would you like a wallpaper version of this in my stories?
