It took 40 years to build the magnificent Salt Lake Temple. Cornerstones were laid on April 6, 1853 and on April 6, 1893 the beautiful edifice was dedicated. ☺ We're sure grateful for all who worked on the construction of this temple and for all who continue its maintainance today. Thanks to @kylewoodburyldsart for sharing this gorgeous picture with us!
How do you enjoy viewing the #saltlaketemple - up close or from a hike overlooking the whole city? This view is from the Ensign Peak trail just above the #utahstatecapitol - go check it out if you're wanting a fun, quick outdoor adventure this summer!
The Savior's peace is real and it can brighten your life, even during your gloomiest days. 🌞
Today was beautiful, but then again, every day is - if you stop to look around. 😍
Beyond its sheer beauty, water is symbolic in the LDS religion. The term living water is a symbol of the Lord Jesus Christ and His teachings. Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst -John 4:6–15.
