It's getting hot (and full) in here! MVP awards to Caitlan, greenhouse manager extraordinaire, who seeded 50 flats of beans and 44 flats of corn today, and to these sungolds which are looking👌🏼 #summerweseeyou
Sixty, sunny, and a chance of strawberries 😍 . Our wonderful crew handplanted 10 quads of clancy, earliglow, galletta, jewel, ac valley sunset, and flavorfest this afternoon, and ooh-ooh we are feeling good 💃🏽
Dear Snow, Hey. It's us. New Morning Farm. This is hard, but there's something we need to say. . . We need to take a break. We had a really good thing going this winter. We really did. We shared a lot of beautiful moments together. We remember when we first met back in November, and we got the butterflies at the sight of you. Or all those romantic days by the fire. And that time you even convinced us to go cross country skiing! But, Snow, take a look around yourself! Things have changed! The daffodils are blooming, the sun sets at 8 pm, and, well, it's April 17. It's time to move on. Who knows, maybe our paths will meet again at a better time (say November?) But for now, we're over you. Love always, NMF 💘
BEETS! And other spring crops are a beautiful sight to see in the greenhouse this sunny, warm morning!
This weekend at market, NMF will be the hottest spot on the block 🔥🌞 Literally! We're excited to debut our new heated ♨️market space! No more shivering while shopping! Don't let the chilly forecasts keep you away, we'll have this hot setup both Saturday and Sunday!
DUPONT CIRCLE! You know where we are! A little walk in the rain never hurt anyone 😉And trust us, these veggies are well worth venturing outside! We've got plenty of roots for roasting and scrumptious, tender greens from our tunnels to help remind you of the coming spring!
Listen carefully! Do you hear that?? That's the sound of the first field crops of 2018 being seeded! Fennel, herbs, and shallots! It may be all winter outside today, but inside the greenhouse it's starting to feel a bit like spring!
It's Super Bowl Sunday! But don't forget to visit us at DuPont Circle to grab all you need to feed your fam and friends for the big game (and the rest of the week!)
Look at these lettuces! We're very pleased that our high tunnel lettuces have made it through some extremely cold temps and have provided us with some very beautiful produce! We hope you'll enjoy eating them as much as we enjoy watching them grow!
