Bedtime. Is it your nemesis? It can certainly be the hardest part of the day for many of us. I’ve heard many of our Abundant Mama students say during class discussions that by a certain point in their night — 8 p.m. — they are just done. They can’t deal. They start to lose it. But what if there’s another way? What if looking at that time as the end, you start looking at that time as the beginning of a nourishing time for yourself? We start really thinking about this inside the Abundant Mama Rise and Shine, Mama 7-Day Challenge. Because how we do mornings and evenings are completely linked together. ☀️🌔🌑✨🌤⛈ Link in profile or in comments. #AbundantMama #riseandshinemama #mornings #evenings
[Rise and Shine, Mama!] The journey to enoughness begins with you. I cannot give you more money. I cannot give you more time. I cannot give you better behaved children. I cannot give you a more attentive partner. I cannot give you a clean house. I cannot give you a job with less stress. But I can give you your enoughness back … I can do that by showing you how to see life from a new angle — one that is filled with beauty and abundance. I can do that by showing you how to care deeply for yourself WHILE chaos is unfolding. Because you are worthy ... you are enough. 💗
A throw back to our last Abundant Mama retreat ... BE BOLD. It’s time for me to buckle down and schedule the next one. Leaving our families for a weekend of sisterhood goodness ... totally worth it. 💜🙌🏻🌈🙌🏾🔥💕💗
I pull out my tiny journal.⠀ ⠀ I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths.⠀ ⠀ And then I ask myself what I need most today and what I need to offer those around me the most today.⠀ ⠀ This is how I start most of my mornings — right after that first sip of coffee.⠀ ⠀ But there’s another part of my Rise and Shine morning ritual that I haven’t talked much about and that’s my morning mantra.⠀ ⠀ I love to start my day with a strong, relevant mantra that just sets the tone for a joyful day.⠀ ⠀ When we wake up our mind is open and aware of much more than we realize. We can find ourselves in a state of mind that just wants to shut the world away. We want to crawl back into bed or at least hide in some quiet corner for a while.⠀ ⠀ I had to laugh at a friend’s wish the other weekend. She said she wants to live in a tiny house. I asked her, “where will you spend your mornings when you wake up?”⠀ ⠀ She thought about it for a few minutes.⠀ ⠀ And then realized that she needs space in the mornings.⠀ ⠀ And I couldn’t agree more. I need space. Quiet. And a real mantra to sink my teeth into to guide me through my day.⠀ ⠀ Here are 10 Good Morning Mantras (that will put a smile on your face!)⠀ ⠀ 1.Ready. Set. Breathe.⠀ 2. What a wonderful day. I’ve never seen this one before! (learned from Brother David Steindl-Rast — my favorite!)⠀ 3. Let’s do this!⠀ 4.Thankful for another day.⠀ 5.This is the day!⠀ 6.I am ready for anything.⠀ 7.May I be strong and fearless — and totally alive.⠀ 8.Soften into this day.⠀ 9.Seek the beauty in every moment.⠀ 10. And this. All this.⠀ ⠀ Sign up for my FREE Rise and Shine Challenge now -- link in profile!
