As we continue our countdown towards the TCU Leadership Awards this week, we want to honor Hunter Enis ’59, ’63 (MA), who has received the Valuable Alumni Award. A former professional football player, Hunter has long been counted among TCU’s most involved and dedicated alumni. He earned an undergraduate degree in geology in 1959, followed by a master’s degree in 1963, and later was part of a small group of visionary alumni who helped to create TCU’s Energy Institute. He is a partner in the Four Sevens Oil Co. Ltd., and has been in the oil business for more than 35 years.
As we continue to count down the days until the TCU Leadership Summit later this week, we want to recognize Mary Ralph Lowe, '68. Mary is the recipient of the Royal Purple Award given for an individual's extraordinary service and support of TCU and the greater community! Mary has been integral to the success of TCU for decades. In addition to serving on numerous TCU leadership boards, she has given numerous gifts to the University, including the Erma & Ralph Lowe Chair of Texas History, the first of its kind in the state of Texas.
This week we are counting down the days until our annual TCU Leadership Summit. Today we want to recognize Brent Blackburn, '82, of Fort Worth, the recipient of our Distinguished Alumni Award. Brent is an internationally recognized scientist who has been influential in the field of biotechnology.
