I learned a few days ago that Wattie passed away and I'm sitting at my keyboard and I am at an absoulet loss of what to say. I absouletly adored my time with Watson the day of his session. He had a real zest for life (and by life, I mean food). I was laughing so hard at the stories his mom told (rolling in dead deer, eating Russian chocolates and then refusing to throw them up - a very Wattie thing to do IMO). It's not very often I meet a dog that has an appetite after their cancer diagnosis but Wattie cleaned out my supply of treats in the first hour - a first ever accomplishment by any dog I've photographed. Thanks to his parents he lived a life full of adventure, food and laughter.
This was my third session with Sora and I wish I could say it was a cause for celebration. At 11 years old, she has a tumor on her liver. Her moms are taking each day at time with her and I hope that they have many more with her.
And my heart feels like it's on fire. I love this beast.
Bella the Shepard Mix taking a selfie. Definitely, for sure not me getting slapped in the face. Not. at. all.
I just want every dog to be as loved as these two are. Spending their last days with laughter, treats and kisses.
Stay golden little Goldendoodle
