💕 And in the blink of an eye, our sweet Blythe is one month old today! 💕 So grateful for this little bundle and for the joy she’s brought into our family. A BIG thank you to @jillgumphotography for the beautiful (socially distanced) newborn photos!!
And then there were three...💕 Our beautiful baby girl, Blythe, joined our family Monday afternoon and we couldn’t be more in love!! We’ve been soaking in all the snuggles and are so happy we get to celebrate her first Easter today as a family! ❤️ And (naturally) when you give birth during a pandemic you have to document it with at least one mask photo 😳😷
After weeks of feeling completely anxious and emotional about delivering our sweet baby girl in the middle of a pandemic...today was a much-needed day of documenting just how excited I am to meet her! So happy I got all dressed up to enjoy the sunshine and take our quarantine maternity photos on the front porch! 😂 Aaannd, of course, Dexter had to make an appearance in some! 🥰🐶 Praying for all you mamas out there who are expecting/delivering in the middle of this pandemic! So much love to you all—we can do this! ❤️ #38weeks #maternityphotos #maternitypics
Almost 27 weeks is a long time to keep a secret on Instagram....but I’m so excited to share that our prayers have been answered and we will be welcoming a sweet baby girl in April! 💕 It has been so special quietly celebrating this babe with our family and friends, and we have truly felt the love!!
And what a beautiful three years it’s been...❤️ Photo by: @jillgumphotography
Fellow #smallbusinessowners —double-tap if you think business birthdays + anniversaries feel more like relationship anniversaries?! 🗓 With relationships you have: first date anniversary, the “we started ‘talking’ back in ___” anniversary, telling your friends “well, we are Facebook official now sooo” 💁🏻♀️🤣, engagement anniversary, wedding date... the significant dates go on and on! ✨ In the same sense, it’s hard trying to pick a true “start date” to my business and a date to celebrate another year of this business I built. I started working with wedding photographers in 2015, became an official business in 2017, re-named my business later that year, launched my site and went full-time in 2018. While there are lots of dates in my business that were pivotal and significant, there is one that I plan on consistently celebrating...ONE YEAR AGO on April 27th, I said goodbye to my HR job (and truly, the most amazing coworkers I could’ve asked for!) and dove head-first into this beautiful, supportive world of #creativeentrepreneurs ✨ This last year has held a lot of tears, fun, amazing clients and beautiful friendships, stress, organization, grey hair (😳), gorgeous weddings, shop + course launches, sacrifices, mid-day puppy snuggles, lunches at home with my husband, and hours-upon-hours behind my computer screen supporting multi-talented and passionate #creativebusinessowners #mompreneuers and #weddingphotographers who are doing AMAZING things in their lives and businesses. ❤️ I am so beyond grateful to head into another year of doing the work I love for clients who are simply the BEST in every way. 🥂 What are you celebrating this week?! Double-tap if you're nosy like me and love to hear all about other people's morning routines? I am fascinated by what others prioritize first thing in the morning, how they get motivated for the day, and even what they do to be as organized as they can be for the rest of the day! ⠀ ✨ So, while I know my early mornings will probably never be as productive as some vloggers out there (who manage to wake up at 5 am to run 10 miles, meal prep for their family of 7, and clean their entire home 😳), this week my goal is to get the kitchen in order first thing in the morning instead of scrolling social media. I know...unloading and loading the dishwasher is a big goal, right!? 💁🏻♀️ Maybe running 10 miles will be next week's goal... 🤷🏻♀️😂
While I often struggle with Facebook, I will say that I am extra thankful for their little reminder of my start with this guy right here. FIVE years ago today he asked me to be his girlfriend! Now, normally we don't pay much attention to first-date-anniversaries and facebook official anniversaries...but I LOVE our story and want to hear about the start of YOUR relationships! I'll go first! ⠀ ✨ Five years ago we met for dinner after meeting each other on Match.com--yes, we met on an online dating site and I will ALWAYS believe that it was the BEST $30 I ever spent. ❤️ We knew it was an instant match, and proceeded to see each other every day for the next week. ❤️ The day after our first date, we went to the Museum in town and this perfect little bookstore (ladies, not exaggerating, I knew he was the one when he took me to that bookstore). 📚 We even took our engagement photos in this bookstore, and these photos by @jillgumphotography will always be some of my favorite of us!⠀ ❤️ ⠀ The next day...I thought it was all OVER. 😭 It was icy and snowy, and we decided to pick up some food at a local joint. Walking into the restaurant I. SLIPPED. AND. FELL. DOWN. HARRDD. 😳 🤦🏻♀️ And for those of you who don't know, I'm a pretty tall girl (6 feet tall) and there was a LOT of arm and leg to flail around while trying to save myself (right in front of an entire restaurant and the perfect man). If you're struggling to envision it, imagine a giraffe 🦒 in roller-skates and you'll be in the ballpark of what it actually looked like!! 🤦🏻♀️ Thankfully that embarrassing moment wasn't the end and our story still continues! ❤️So, friends, tell me--what did your first date look like? Do you have a dream first date!? Can anyone beat me with a more embarrassing almost-first-date story!?! I'd love to hear all about it!!
