Internal medicine for long term wellbeing is one thing but sometimes you need something for instant relief. This week I'm working on creating some healing salves that will help ease sore muscles while also bringing easy breathing. Think tiger balm / herbal Ralgex. Plants have so many beautiful properties they have multiple applications. This gem combines wintergreen with cayenne and ginger to support the immune system while also relieving chesty coughs. It stands alone to ease tight muscles after a workout but will also soothes dry respiratory conditions #plantsaremagic #herbalmedicine
Thank you @nataliemckenziebrown for sharing your expertise today. I'm so grateful for your patience while I delved into the fascinating world of composition. There's so much to learn, but I'm enjoying the experience of slowly rediscovering my creativity. There is alchemy in this process in more ways than one.

If you've hit a wall with your new year's resolutions I've got your back. Come join my little gang of detoxers and get stuck in to 10 days of self care. It will be a walk in the park. We can do it together. I hate to use a cliché, but.....you're worth it.
Can you guess what all these plants have in common? Each one (in its own special way) can help give you immune system a helping hand during the cold winter months. Add garlic to olive oil and use it liberally in salads soups and stews. Turmeric, coconut oil and black pepper are classic ingredients in the famous Ayurvedic golden milk renowned for its immune boosting properties. Chamomile and yarrow are diaphoretic herbs (they make you sweat!) Add them to a steamy bath to blast away colds and flu and help you get a good night's sleep. Lemons and limes are chock full of Vitamin C to help support immune health. And as for the chilli and rosemary? Classic culinary herbs which help our other plant friends get into your system so they can better work their magic. Did I forget to mention echinacea, natural honey and elderberry syrup....? Herbs are our allies and friends; always close at hand whenever we need their help. #herbalist #plantsareourfriends #herbs #naturalremedies #makeityourself #homeremedies #kitchenlab #immunesupport #tonics #feelbetter #flushot #winterwellness #colddays #naturalsolutions #naturesmedicine #seasonalmenu #elderberries
