This book has been a GREAT influence on my 7-year-old, and therefore, me. Knowledge is a powerful thing!
Their signs may say first day of school, but first day is a loose term here. Think of it more as the day we decided to take first day of school pictures. ...mostly because I noticed they had all chosen outfits that actually matched (tops to bottoms) and were having pretty good hair days! 🤣 We’ve already been doing school since June. When they grow up: 💻 Clara wants to be a blogger and a mom ✈️ Matthew wants to be a worker who fixes airplanes 💃 Emily wants to be a princess and a teacher It's so fun to see their interests, strengths, and personalities shining through each year. I love that I get to be their teacher! It's not all easy, but I can't think of anything I would rather be doing. I am excited to see what this new homeschool year will bring! #homeschool #firstday #simplehome #simplelife
Ahaha! 😂 Hospital gift shop, you made me laugh. Nicely done! . . As far as the husband, he is stable and doing pretty decent. We’ve seen some important improvements since we’ve been here. We’re still in “wait and see” mode.
This is the photo that’s lifting my spirits this morning as I sit back in a hospital room beside a very sick husband. He had an complicated appendectomy last week, which unfortunately resulted in a horrible abscess this week. Either of these would take a person’s life pretty quickly without medical intervention, but because appendectomies are so routine nowadays, this abscess/infection seems to be the more serious and more concerning of the two, and will certainly result in a longer hospital stay. I think we are in good hands, with some good options before us, but there are a lot of unknowns today. . . It’s times like these I’m so grateful for our wonderful family support. Pictured is my brother who came over this morning to help my sister (who left her family to stay at our house last night) get our kids ready for church. . . Is it just me, or is there an abundance of cuteness going on in this picture? It’s good to know they are in great hands! . Meanwhile, prayers for healing are appreciated!
