Mavs of Colorado Mesa: Justin Forrest Major in psychology, minor in business administration December 2019 Loveland, co “My favorite memory is either studying abroad or working in PAC. I have meet some of my best friends through PAC and it has been so much fun being able to put on large scale events for fellow students. It has really given me the ability to shape the campus and use student fees in ways that I think will bring enjoyment to other students. CMU also makes it very easy to study abroad, so I was able to study in Amsterdam in fall 2018. These experiences have shaped me in many ways and have made me feel very connected to CMU.” #MavsofColoradoMesa

Mavs of Colorado Mesa: Annika Sheya Montrose, Colorado Nursing December 2019 “I’m passionate about anything and everything outdoors, belly laughs, genuine people, giving back and pushing my comfort zone. As a CMU student and new resident to the Grand Valley area, I’ve found the perfect environment for giving back to others, recreating outdoors and a wealth of wonderful personalities to join me along the way. Giving back is so important to me, and nursing is a profession that challenges me and allows me to make a difference. Balancing nursing school and my other interests can be tricky, however with skiing, hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking and so many other activities nearby it’s more than doable. I consider myself very lucky to live in and pursue my future in a place like this. Some of my favorite memories from CMU are from a summer trip I went on with the outdoor program. I got to backpack through Thailand, Laos and Cambodia for almost two months — from giving elephants a bath, exploring jungle waterfalls, hiking through rice paddies in the middle of a rainstorm to go rock climbing in Laos, to swimming with bioluminescent plankton in Cambodia, I gained such a broadened perspective of the world and of myself. I definitely caught the travel bug! I’m still in awe of how incredible this opportunity was and how much I grew from it as a person.” #MavsofColoradoMesa
