In 2013, a group of SDSU students were frustrated with the lack of visibility on their nightly skateboard rides. They took this frustration and turned it into the widely innovative Shredlights, a brand that creates durable headlights for boards and a variety of other rides. The CEO of Shredlights, Eric Birkemeier, is a former Lavin Entrepreneur who took his brand from Entrepreneur Day to now signing a partnership with a multi-million dollar electric bicycle company. Shredlights proves the lengths you can go while doing what you love. #lavinentrepreneurshipcenter #sdsu #sandiegostateuniversity

Charbon Plus, started by Lavin Entrepreneur Alumnus Lucien Aymerick Eloundou, is an organic skincare brand crafted for the specific needs of people of color. Lucien founded this company after battling problems within his own skin and seeing similar problems with those closest to him. He wanted to start a company that empowered self-confidence with products that actually worked for different skin types. Charbon Plus’ mission is to provide sustainable, clean and effective products to an underserved segment of consumers to allow them to feel good in their own skin. The entirety of Lucien’s company was founded on one of the notions of the Lavin Entrepreneur Program that entrepreneurs need to listen to the consumers and create solutions based on their feedback. #lavinentrepreneurshipcenter #sdsu #sandiegostateuniversity
