Patricia Greene is the 18th director of the women’s bureau in the US Department of Labor and Candida Brush is the vice provost of Global entrepreneurial leadership at Babson College and holds the Franklin Olin chair in Entrepreneurship at the school. Ellis, JD, is an attorney with more than 30 years’ experience representing sole proprietors and small businesses. He teaches business law and other business courses to undergraduate and graduate students at the San Diego Campus of University of Phoenix, and online. His discussion at the 2019 CEEC will explore methods, interdisciplinary course designs and co-curricular activities for teaching entrepreneurial disciplines to musicians and artists. He will explore questions such as what are the most critical business skills artists and musicians need for business success, and why. As well as what are the most effective pedagogical tools to use with creative individuals to help them acquire those skills? The 2019 California Entrepreneurship Educators Conference is excited to announce Jake Grandy as one of our discussion leaders this year! Jake is a professor of Strategy at California State University, Long Beach. His research examines non-market strategy, entrepreneurship, and corporate-social responsibility. His research was awarded a Kauffman Foundation Dissertation Fellowship and his dissertation received awards from industry Studies Association and the academy of Management, Organizations and Natural Environment Division.
