This morning I walked past an elementary school a few minutes before school started, and the kids looked VERY ready for summer. Then I caught the eye of a teacher and she looked EVEN MORE READY.
There are 13 days left of National Letter Writing Month! Here are my favorite tips to write more letters if you need a little nudge! . (ONE) First things first, stock up on some beautiful stationery! . (TWO) Always have postage stamps. The USPS has a new Mister Rogers stamp that made me smile. . (THREE) Store your cards, stamps, and your favorite pen in a place that will encourage you to write. That doesn't necessarily mean your desk! Maybe you're more likely to write in bed with your morning coffee, so you should keep stationery in your nightstand. Or maybe you have a few extra minutes during your lunch break, so you should slip some cards into your bag as you leave the office. . (FOUR) Keep an updated address book. Whether it's the contacts app on your phone or an old-fashioned bound book like my mother had in her kitchen cabinet (still has, actually!), you'll be much more likely to write if you don't have to search for or ask for an address. . (FIVE) Done is better than perfect. Don't worry about spelling mistakes, writing too little, or waiting for the ideal occasion. Just write! It will make someone's day!
April is National Letter Writing Month! We should all write more letters, shouldn't we?
